@ZeppelinFloydRoses Only their girls, they think it's a girls sport but then again their boys are obsessed with Lacrosse and to us that's a girls sport. And nice name btw....
Complete wrong technique, First of all keep your stick on the ground all throug your aproach, second you have to place your left foot directly next to the ball and your nose has to point to the ball. At thise point you are making a cross stap behind your left leg to get maximum rotation in your bodie. And your bodie hast to be up right at thise point. Now you drop your centre of gravity down to genarate speed and make a big step towards the goal and then you rotate your bodie to get top speed
I also hate the the u.s coach hockey, the have invented their own technique that ive seen from loads of girls at high school level. Its awful, some europeans need to get over there and put them straight.
please just try this!...Take 3 steps away from the ball, pick the ball up more straight up and while you are draging the ball get lower this will get you alot more power and you will be able to shoot right better
Yeah, thats ok but. Compared to every drag flicker ive ever seen ever. You have a short run up, you dont bring the stick head along the ground behind the ball and your right hand is too far down the shaft. Im fairly sure youd benefit from doing all three of these. And also practice your run up with your injector and stopper. That way you can get the timing right. :) Very impressed with the level of work you put into your practice though, keep it up!
I understand that this video is put up with the nicest of intention, but this is truly a terrible technique for drag flicking, and one that juniors should not be taking any note of. Ball roll is about the only correct thing. You will not achieve any power if you keep practicing as you are. First problem is your approach. Needs to be either 3 step (simple) or better 4 steps, as this allows for any errors from the injector. Follow thru is also terrible. good luck!
keep your stick on the floor when you approach the ball, and then pick it up behind you but keep your stick reasonably upright (on pick up) and release the ball as your striding for extra power and yourl do good :)
No offence but for an international your technique is awful, not only your technique but your flicking is slow and un accurate . A keeper would pat those down with ease.
The USA play hockey?
