I AWARD THIS 3 1/2 CLARAS...You've got this orchestra swinging with the most lovely lilt possible.Also the color and texture of your ensemble here combined with the lilt is evocative and vivid.I would have awarded more,but some of the smaller quieter episodes lack enough concentrated variety in terms of color and expression through tempo adjustment,and lyrical charm.The psychological intensity,if not great...is close to it.
OK...so here's the thing. Your have a right to whatever opinion you want. But if you're going to award something less than top honors to the most legendary recording of this piece ever made, you have to point us in the direction of something that deserves more.
