I agree that television and film is poison to the esteem/image of African(american)men and women. I've felt it myself. Though I love both mediums I had to make a choice. So 3yrs ago I stopped watching TV. Funny but immediately I discovered I didn't miss it. I started reading more.Especially books by black authors. I still do movies but only after my black best friends has saw it 1st.He knows the type of images I don't want to see. He knows because I've told him.
