There have been Bald Eagles in San Diego County for a number of years now.. For the last several years you can commonly find them at Lake Hodges and other areas near there. They have been found at Lake Henshaw for several year before that. It is, however, fantastic to see them doing so well and be able to experience seing them in all their majesty
I have seen Golden Eagles over the face of El Cap 3 times this week (twice one came out and soared with me while paragliding). Now I will be on the look out for Bald Eagles!!
