  • Just replaced a piston with new rings in our 12-251C, what a bitch getting that cap on with the bearing boss pin aligned. That C-420 is a needy-high-maintenance hanger queen but worth it.

    I'm impressed, no oil diapers on the deck!

  • Old, crude, leaky engines but I love them. A tugboat I worked on had two of them. Unlike the EMDs in the other boats the ALCO sounds like a real engine. Too bad the sound in this vid doesn't do it justice.
