@Dordrius Actually, Obha (writer) wanted Obata (illustrator) to add in the apple. Obata thought there was some sort of meaning to it, you know, like a reference to the Bible as you said. Turns out Obha just thought it looked cool and the color fit in well with all the black and grayscale stuff. It's kind of funny, actually ^_^
