  • i left school at 14 found my mother dead at 16 got a crappy job working for hills industries then got fired for a punch up with a chinese guy so I joined the army they didnt let me in the first time because i found my mother gasping for her life at 16. come back in a year we will teach u how to kill

  • im in year 9 its pretty much half way through the year but i want to drop out of school after year 10, but i hear its hard to get in without year 11&12, is that true and how can i increase my chance of getting in without year 11&12

  • @Justenzy The best way to increase your chances is to just continue on with school, It's not worth it to give it all up because you dont 'like' school, find something within the Defence Force that you would really LOVE to do set goals, and work towards them, I wanted to drop out too, I was told by my teachers and peers that I was intelligent and that these senior years (11&12) would depict what I could do with my life, I continued, Im now in year 11 studying to become a pilot within the RAAF.

  • God Bless The Aus Troops

  • AUSTRALIAN TERRORISTS!!!! THEY DESERVE TO DIE FOR KILLING CIVILIANS!

  • @miltonboo

Fuck you you disrepsectful cunt. There the ones fighting the terrorists, only killed civilians once by accident, as does every army in the world every now and then. They are risking there lives, fighting with murderous terrorists to keep you save in your bed at nights. There rebuilding schools, aquaducts, houses etc. for the children over there helping them have a better life than there parents. Why would you watch this video just to say that> You deserve to die painfully. Fucktard

  • Thanks to the photos from the military photographers of the 1st Joint Public Affairs Unit (1JPAU) for their great work in capturing majority of the photos for this video! No photos no mission. If these photographers were not there to get the photos or video for the operation, it will only be a memory, but if they are there, it become Australian Defence Force history.

  • Good job on this cobber, very well done clip and respect to you ...... thanks for the effort and thought you took on it.

  • ahh as a current serving member thanks for all your support guys we dont get much from the general public so thanks

  • can i ask what is Australia actually doing in Afghanistan and Iraq? How do we contribute? Is it true we do low risk missions unlike the U.S.A and British? If that's true, why?

If you have the spare time to answer that, it would be really appreciated.

    Thanks for serving bro.

  • ATM we are pulling out of Iraq with just a sec det there I believe, in afghanistan we are rebuilding and training the afghan national army so as we can pull out, it is difficult and we train and fight differently to the afghans we take things very seriously. we are not in the thick of it, you try and tell that to the fallen men that have lost their lives for our freedom, the only reason we have not lost as many as the brit+yanks we dont have as many as them and we are more professional I believe

  • @alip2310

They are having contact almost everyday, but mainly there training the ANA and rebuilding schools, aquaducts, houses etc. We are playing a big part, and I believe teaching the ANA to handle things on there own and making the kidsthere have a better life is better then going around kkilling all the time. Although they are doing a shit load of fighting, the media just doesn't show it since Vietnam because it turns civies against soldiers.

  • hey man great vid, whats the song ?

  • if you love australians and are an american say go the troops

  • Here's how to win the war in Afghanistan, at YouTube, search: "How to win Afghanistan"

  • you have to be in the army for 6 years, but before you get deployed or go on an operation, you have to finish a 18 months course.

  • every minute is worth it

  • To all the Aussie Troops that gave it there all... RIP from Newfoundland

  • god bless the Australian service, if you look under Hero in the dictionary there should be every last soldiers name that resides in the defense force, after my school years are done im heading for the SAS and fulfilling a lifelong dream, i can only hope to match up to these saints fighting for us.

  • well aint you a peach,ex 3RAR,linguist with signals+detatched to SAS,BLACK WATER adv,you sound like audie murphy bro, only the top 10% make it threw cadre, barrier course, you got to be a grunt for atleast 18-2 years ,most fail on there first go,+make the devil your new best freind

  • @iwgibbs

Before you can go SAS you need to do two years in infantry first before you can apply. These recent years, thanks to the GFC andmany other people wanting to join, its extremely hard to get in, especially infantry, its the most applied for job in the ADF, and if you do get accepted theres like a years wait before enlistment.

  • @YourRETARDEDchild You are incorrect there.. Any serving member of the ADF be they Army, Navy or Air Force can apply for selection to the SASR, there has been sigs, engineers and there has even been a Hornet Pilot from 77 Squadron RAAF...

  • @MyNitro77

Ah, I stay incorrected :) Thanks a lot mate, I always thought you had to be infantry for two years. Now I know I can apply for selection maybe after 3 years as Driver Transport :) Because my plan was to do my 4 years, corps transfer to infantry (if they let me) and do two years infantry so I can give selection a go in the future. How do you know when selections on?
