I rejoice at these videos, Pastor Ted. I sought a path since I was 3, finally found Catholicism at 11, and began getting into meditation/contemplation at 22, SRF at 39. Your flock must know that you are presenting them a precious gift.
Very grateful to hear words so elequently expressing what my heart knows is true.. At last I am not crazy!!! Hope to hear you one day speak of the tower of babbel. Thank you for being brave and passionate about the truth.
These teachings are not Gnostic, but rather the very core of the teachings of the Early Fathers of Eastern Christianity. In the first six centuries especially, there came a wisdom teaching from the Egyptian and Syrian deserts. These instructions are contained in "The Philokalia". In the 2nd century, Clement of Alexandria and others did speak of a "gnosis", an inner knowledge, that was part of the spiritual maturing of Christians.
