We were missing one big key component on the offensive line in 2002 as well. Bryant McKinnie. Our run game was good..but he was crucial in pass protection. Not to mention a different O/C..

The Buckeyes have a better QB, stable of RB's, better WR's and a MUCH better defense. Up and coming program? You mean overachieving program that can't get it done -- much like FSU of the 90's. They brag on all of their top 5 finishes -- that makes them choke artists in my eyes..much like your Hokies who were bitchslapped by aforementioned team in their ONLY big game outing.
So please, continue to feast and get fat off ACC titles when everyone in the world thinks our conference as a whole is a joke (even if WE know it isn't).

You want to talk about up and up? The Hurricanes are a legitimate up and up team. Posting an improved record every year under Shannon, amassing by and far better talent than Coker could have ever dreamed of -- actually giving us DEPTH. For God's sakes when Butch's recruits and transfers were gone we had to use a PUNTER at wide receiver in some instances due to a lack of depth at several positions.
You can't HONESTLY believe we aren't coming up, even as a VT fan.

I'm not 100% sold on Oglesby but with Evans and Williams you're stocked.
I'm quite content with ours -- with or without Cooper. I'm fairly positive we'd have faired better with Berry in our game against ya'll if they had been bright enough to use him. JJ was slow and Cooper dances too much -- could've gone to a grind out offense vs trying to force passes.
