actually quite good once ???? hhhmm is that why "Roger Waters" Wall tour was voted best Tour of Last year ??? get real. Whenever any band lasts as long as these have, its because of TALENT, NOT promoting !!!
Surely this was recorded prior to May 1973? I saw them play March 4th, 1973 in Madison, WI and DSOTM was the entire first half of the show as it was about to be released days afterward. This recording sounds just a bit older, perhaps 1972? Either way, this is a wonderful recording. I especially enjoyed DSOTM, it's like being there all over again.
@JayJayW9 Thanks; That's quite a while ago! My first PF show was the Wall, Earl's Court, June 81. Also quite a while ago now! Still the best live show I've seen. Best part was the 'surrogate band' concept. So clever; was in the third row and could see the masks but didn't realise Pink Floyd weren't behind them until the grey curtain went up. This aspect was necessarily missing from Roger's new version of the show; it wouldn't work these days with 3/4 of Pink Floyd absent...
Thank you for taking the time and effort to post this historic concert! Floyd really blazed a trail for others to follow and their innovations are still used today. One thing. Is there a way to eliminate the tape hiss heard throughout the recording? Since there is no film to watch, the sound really jumps front and center. Thanks again!
@Rasputin443556 producers used to leak out bootlegs to make it more appealing to the imaginative minds. To entice the humdrum into purchasing the official recording . but i've gotta say i f**king lurve this . I've been listening to floyd for 25 years and i've never heard this .... Hats off to pinkdarkechoes :-)
@TheGravygun Earls Court is not a cheap motel on US-301 it's a big big gig a your a bit good when your able to play there. I was being a bit facetious, terrible sorry fella
Obscured Bye Clouds is just like the soundtrack from the movie "MORE" its been a long time since i"ve heard this masterpeace and aren't we all gratefull to persons like yourself to take your time and give us this masterpeace thanks a million man FLOYD is and always remains the best even though they are no longer together.Yet we still remanisce as we listen to the albums and tunes for the millionth time thanks again PINKARKECHOES.My fav album is Atom Heart Mother.Who am i kidding love them all.
It says this music is from 1973, the very first year I would have ever heard of Pink Floyd.....to be sure, I have never before heard this first track that opened this show until now.....was very surprised...!!! Thank you for posting this.....
If you don't recognise the opening track I'd recommend getting hold of the 'Obscured By Clouds' album. It's a jam based on the first two tracks on that record.
@czgibson .....Thank you, czgibson, for the heads-up on the "Obscured by Clouds" CD.....thanks to you, I immediately went out and purchased the original studio version....I like it very much....geraldalann

The best thing about youtube is that all these old recordings are becoming easily available. What date was this one recorded? Does anyone know?

The best thing about online music piracy is that it made the record companies forget that they hated bootlegs.

@Rasputin443556 The bad thing about bootlegs is that the audio is crap, at least they should do something with the tapes...
Indeed its better than nothing
