  • dear santa

  • Jeez. Im sure earplugs and a full helmet would bearly be just enough to filter out the noise of the engine.

  • I guess it's better than flying with the airlines...

  • How do I get one?

  • Go Go Gadget Lose Grip!

  • put a turbo or some nos onto it lol!!!

  • hopefully u dont do what i did with my toy helicopters. HIT INTO TREES!!!

  • is he trying to stay alive or fly

  • should fly 1000 feet

  • You would have to be EXTREAMELY careful, right after you land, not to stand up too soon when you get out from under it! ...Otherwise chop-chop-chop-chop-chop -there goes your head! AWESOME helicopter, though! I would love to own one of these...outside of having to go to work, I don't think I would do much else, other than flying this helicopter all over my neighborhood, and around the beach!

  • @dslgunner1977 Yeah, OSHA would never approve it.

  • @dewfall56 Hahaha...so true!

  • Wonder if it will fly out of ground effect? I dont want to try it first ! Still Awesome !

  • Brilliant.

  • How many Miles to the gallon does this have

  • don't forget to hold your head down after you landed it or you might go home headless :D

  • how did you make this? is it for sale? what would it cost?

  • flying moped???

  • GO GO GADGET HELICOPTER

  • inspector gadget style

  • i want one with rockets and vulcan cannons mini lol omg use that for delivering pizza

  • i want one with rockets and vulcan cannons mini lol

  • Deixa eu da um role nessa bagaça ai tio?

  • If you're going to build a suicide booth you should at least make it 100% effective.

  • The helmet would help keep the head in one big piece.

  • it's the decapitator

  • has it even got a swashplate?

  • I wonder how it performs in autorotation

    Beast device

  • That - would blend.

  • That looks pretty safe...

  • I WANT A ROFLCOPTER

  • All aboard the roflcopter

  • THAT IS SO DAMN COOL!! MY DAD WOULD HAVE A BLAST WITH THAT

  • hey guys...watch this!

  • he must be deaf by now

  • Genial

Wie weit / wie lang kann man damit fliegen?

  • it aint funny when he's body is chopped up in mid air and it lands on the crowd.

  • inspector gadget

  • what about a disc underneath the pilot using the ground effect

  • @210482fmj that would give it less lift and thrust, a halicopter will not take off if you attach a disc to the bottom, and even if it did helis are alot less stable in ground effect. hope you learned some stuff!

    Chris

  • @RCvehicleGuy what about using rotors with more blades. there must be ways we can improve on the current designs. 100 years is not a very long time for technology to move forward. to be fair we are still in the early days of flying designs. Im sure there are lots of designs that are yet to be tried out.

  • @210482fmj surprisingly more rotors will also decrease efficiency, one rotor in theory is more efficient because you do not have the blade hitting the turbulence behind the other blade. a coaxial heli like this one is also inefficient because the thrust and turbulence from the top blades hits the bottom ones, they used coaxial to make it smaller though. We have gone REALLY far in aviation technology in 100 years, there is not much else we can improve on as far as heavier than air craft goes

  • @RCvehicleGuy i think we could make the fuselage provide lift also as the tube on an airplane does provide any real lift. also what about making it smaller and thinner yet still strong enough. imagine an air frame that was flat and thinner where the pilot was to lie face down and crawl into like a tunnel. a thinner cabin that also provided lift would decrease drage. think of the shape of a dart tip being pointed. could an airplane benefit with more than two wings. it takes years of research

  • @210482fmj now you have gotten to a point where I need to put up a vid explaining why biplanes aren't as efficient as monoplanes, anything more than one wing will do four things, increase lift, increase drag, decrease power/weight ratio, and decrease efficiency. Airlines and so on want a more efficient plane and adding more wings will not help, if they do then the planes would have two wings and not one, they are easier to make and reinforce. I will upload a vid in the next few weeks

  • What could possibly go wrong?

  • i would make a cage thing for the blades

  • Can you say decapitation?

  • I guess if you can't find your car in the parking lot this would come in handy.

  • now i can make my grand theft auto people slicing dreams come true

  • I guess its pretty cool but I wouldn't fly that shit.

  • rofl copter

  • This is an accident waiting to happen.

  • Let's make now a rol or looping lol.

And then there is red rain.

  • Damn I want that thing haha

  • he must be insured

  • Or even male, as some men have long hair too.

  • Also wear a helmet, and if you're female, tuck your hair into a turtleneck or into your helmet.

  • To all you goofs that think this will kill ya, take a good long look at your household fan, have does it have that's missing?

Hint: it's safety device that prevents you from touching the props, you know that cage like thing covering the blades.

Why not just install one on the copter?

  • I hope that thing does not throw a rod!!!

  • They are applauding because he didn't die like the first two people demonstrating it did.

  • But can you perform an immelmann turn?

  • I need ONE!!! x)

  • Its a fun project. I love it. An awesome project grows from a small project.

  • Noise.

    No safety.

    No controls as such.

    Crude decapitation device.

    Thumbs down.

  • i didn't find my life in street to die like that.

  • it is very good to cross a big river

  • Heey look.. it's Inspector Gadget... next you'll see him producing a Boeing 747 out off his butt.

BTW, that's a suicide contraption.. riding that thing for two miles has worse odds than playing the Russian roulette... it's just a matter of time before you die.

  • what could possibly go wrong?

  • head-chop machine

  • Darwin awards will be busy this year!

  • He is using his foam helmet from the short bus.

  • Crazy!

  • He will have a pretty good chance of surviving 2012 now.. I want one

  • I wanna ride that to school :D

  • @pwnagevex You'd be the coolest kid at your school!

  • omg awsome i want 1 . what kind of engine was that ? any 1 ?

  • Comment removed

  • nice. too bad the fuel only lasts 2 min

  • haha.. have that on the roof sow you can escape from wife when its needed... lol

  • Yes, the Cuisinart of helicopters.

  • His own little escape pod

  • His own little escape pod.

  • i want to fly with this

  • Splendid! Like it!

  • Talk about a friggin headache!

  • try a triple blade next time. you wont have that stable problem

  • @omapps is there such a thing? how do you gear that on the motor? like three gears off of the main motor gear?

  • That guy was doing everything he could to keep it stable. He almost lost it once. Slim chance he could actually fly from one place to another.

  • @peckerwood57 its called IMPROVEMENT

  • @peckerwood57 When did he "almost" lose it?

  • @WA4RRN Look at 1:08 seconds. When he finishes, he looks like he's exhausted and glad to be alive.

  • I'll walk

  • could it be made smaller?

  • Nice propeller beanie dude!

  • 讚!讚!讚!

  • what kind of motor is that, some 2 stroke obviously but how big and from what?

  • A flying fueltank just near your head, next to those 2 big unprotected rotors atop of your help. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea, what could possibly go wrong.

  • @santax123 Well atleast you wont feel anything if something does happen =)

  • ill stick with roller costers

  • Awesome!

  • HeliCopter...could use a engine upgrade ...this guy is a little bit on the heavy side!

  • I'd fly mine naked

  • @thepaperlantern Id fly mine naked with a banner sticking out of my ass that says "Come Fly With Me"

  • @coryboy345 hehehe - maybe we should get together and for the world's first mini helicopter naked formation flying squadron

  • @thepaperlantern Sir, you are the true champion of the internets.

  • @thepaperlantern lol

  • i want it !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just about impossible to fly at height, due to lack of horizon/orientation.And get cramp in one arm due to cold air and you are then in deep doo doo!

I would like to see do an auto-rotation from 100 feet and see if he walks away from it or gets carried in a bag.

  • that is cool

  • dont get your head chopped off.

  • That's some beany cap you got there.

    or

Hey, mister, you got a giant dragonfly stuck to your head!

  • I wanna see one of these fly overhead when I'm stuck at a stoplight. lol

  • You know you could go really high and fast if you just held the throttle!!!!!!!!! but life is good, amazing machine hope to see more of it. THANKS.

  • thats awesome! i wonder what a 1 manned helicopter will look like in 100 years

  • Why are y'all so negative about this? It's a very nice feasibility study. That guy fights for our freedom of flying! :-)

  • It'll make a brilliant addition to the military, imagine! The enemy completely helpless in their fits of laughter as a squadron of these flies towards them!

  • how strong engine is there? how many HP, RPM?

  • a nice strong wind would turn that into a food processor. YOU being the food. ;)

  • @ShotgunG12 lolz

  • @ShotgunG12: Actually, watch the way it flies. The center of gravity is soooooo low, that his device is vastly more stable then typical helicopters and airplanes. I would feel very safe in that device. In fact, I'd love to buy one (or a kit) if he is making them.

  • @honestann I can see were you might think that, but if you've ever flown a helicopter with a slingload (thereby lowering the center of gravity), it doesn't take much to have the load start oscillating and pulling you all over the sky. Also, turns at low altitude have to be thought of well in advance because of the effects of centrifugal force. All in all, the closer the CoG (vertically and horizontally) is to the main rotor hub, the more stable a helicopter is.

  • wow, another $1,000,000 and maybe you could get it to maybe...I dunno..... go somewhere? LOL

  • Hope they will improve this further. It will solve road traffic problem.

  • So there will be idiots falling from the sky too. Great.

  • There will be a sky-traffic problem if this happened..

  • Go go Inspector Gadget!

  • looks easy to build,is it a kit??

  • imagine that you to big and youer haide gets tocun off

  • Looks very very dangerous

  • those blades looked like lawn mower blades lol

one fuckup and off goes his head

  • thats very dangerouse man....

  • lawl i would love to have one of these

  • i keep thinking of the little beanie caps with the toy propellers on top of them from the old days.

  • that helicopter is so much fun to drive!

  • His head is like 6 in from that rotor blade lol

  • looks like a celling fan :)

  • The person with the camera was definitely not close enough. Don't be scared next time, get right in there.

  • Can it go higher?

  • lol Inspector Gadget

  • wow!! i need one like that.

  • Gadget copter indeed:-)

  • 1 slip up and its off with your head.

  • fix the danger factor...

  • DAT SHIT LOK DANGEROUS AS HELL!!!

  • go -go gadget copter......lol

  • Can you fly to London in that thing? It has to get superb petrol mileage !

  • Good god, that looks well dodgy. He's not even strapped in,not that it would do much in a crash!!

  • Complete power failure or any other problem with the power control in a conventional helicopter is a serious problem, requiring reflexes, judgement, training and nerve on the part of the pilot to get down safely but it can be done.

Engine failure or a sticky throttle on that thing would be embarrassing, but only briefly. I think I can see why he doesnt go high or far or fast.

  • well yah its just in the try out stages

  • You can't get your helicopter pilot license unless you land a helicopter without engine power from at least 100ft.

This is just a test, that is why he isn't taking off into the sky.

  • Tinnitus helicopter!

  • cool toy, i expect it actually works ok, eccept for the headache it must induce to the pilot

  • Looks like a human vegematic. Slice and dice.

  • why didn't that dude fly somewhere? I would fly off somewhere it it was me. another thing, i don't think he was controling it, I think it was somebody else.

  • it's like inspector gadget! but it looks like someone is going to get killed

  • Looks like a cool way to kill yourself.

  • that looks like fun i want 1 not 2 but1

  • It looks very unstable to fly.

  • I bet he had a hell of a headache after that, lol.

  • That thing would probably go like hell if you strapped it on a little 75 pound midget!

  • Ingenious .. imagine shotdowned pilot in the middle of enemy territory .. they can just drop this stuff in container and wait him for dinner.

  • I wanna buy one for my mother in law!!!

  • there you go. a more honest and more appealing use out of this...engineering marvel...mua ha ha ha ha ha...!

  • aint that a gyrocopter

  • No: Gyrocopters use forward speed to autorotate the main rotor, prducing lift. Gyrodynes can power the rotor for VTOL, but they can keep autorotating in a power out situaion allowing the craft to land in CTOL mode if the craft doesn't lose too much forward speed. Now this thing has no forward speed thruster, going only in VTOL. Much like theese: Kamov Ka-25 Kamov Ka-26 Kamov Ka-226 Kamov Ka-27 Kamov Ka-32 Kamov Ka-50 Manzolini Libellula Sikorsky S-69 Sikorsky X2
  • thanks

  • Go go gadget copter!

  • super cool, me thinks :)

  • I'd so buy that

  • no u wont.

  • I know, but its nice for the people to think that other people wud buy that

  • thing is its not even a helicopter its more of a pogostick and you wouldnt fly that too risky engine might break and you fall like a rock

  • Not if you have a parachute

  • for a parachute to work it must open from the air going inside it you won't have enough altitude for it to open. Not only does it have to open it has to fully expand to complete capacity for it to slow down your falling speed. that pogostick helicopter won't really give you enough air anyways if it stops working worst that can happen is you lose your head or end up with a broken neck or bones. Lol But there is a better solution to making a small manned flying device like a jetpack wit chemicals

  • lol nerd

  • its not being a nerd to realize what your dealing with before actually doing it. Better safe then sorry any person would understand this before doing anything like this but I guess it's becasue for to let instructor jump with you both attached by your crouches like two gay couples rofl fuck that.

  • lol, your a nerd because of the queer way you explained it to me

  • lol your a nerd for using the word queer haaaaaaaahaaaaaaaa

  • lol how does me calling you by your name make me a nerd

  • cmon man just give it up COOKE MONSTA WTF? are u like 8 rofl. na man just chill out before ya get hurt.

  • oh my god,ï
