No disrespect to anyone, but Augeri is singing very flat throughout a lot of this. Augeri sounded GREAT in the studio, but that didn't translate to his live performance. Listen to him sing the hookline "hopelessly in love with you" - it's flat the very first time he sings it. Steve Perry was one in a million and could bring it live. Just sayin'. Peace and love!

Augeri was the closest thing to Steve Perry they ever had as a lead singer. I mean, if they can't go on with SP in the fold, then he was the best second choice they had. Too bad his voice couldn't hold up on tours. The guy they have now just doesn't fit well to me. Not to knock the dude...just sayin.

Does anyone else think its totally hysterical that Neal Schon decided that Journey no longer needed Stever Perry but then breaks his neck to find Steve Perry sound-a-likes? Because deep down in his arrogant brain he knows there is NO Journey without "the Voice" of Steve Perry...or at least crappy knock-off (in his opinion anyway)...

Wow, Wow! I like Steve Augeri's singin & some of his songs. Didn't think i would like him singing this song, however, he did awesome. Thanks for sharing!! Love it!! "The Party's Over" is my favorite song from Steve Perry & the guys.

I always liked this Steve's enthusiasm and humbleness. He just seemed to be so very happy to have made it to this point in his career and his performances always demonstrated it. Good luck to him in further ventures.

Steve Augeri was the perfect fit for the band if SP isn't in it. Too bad his voice didn't last the test of time. i still hope SP and the band sing a couple again for their inevitable Hall of Fame induction.

steve augeri's vocal leaves alot to be desired compared to Perry. the closest singer ive ever heard to steve perry is the singer for the Journey cover band Frontiers. he is SCARY CLOSE. i wonder why he's not in Journey

Thanks for posting, what a great vocal performance by Steve Augeri. Journey was lucky enough to have two great eras, with Steve Perry and then Steve Augeri. I respect the band's decision to continue on with other vocalists, but now for me it's just a really good tribute band. I can't wait for Steve Augeri's solo album and tour.

I would love to hear some of these songs here in Seattle. Please bring back more songs from Infinity, Evolution, & Departure as well and give Escape a well deserved rest!!!

@MZowski83 Saw them doing a sounds check for a private corporporate function where I work years ago. I though it was so wild how they got this guy, Steve Augeri, who sounded so much like and physically somewhat resembeled Steve Perry. This guy still can't hit the high notes that Steve Perry could, though.
