It's either at the end of this episode or another where those two characters kiss smack on the lips--and I doubt if it was scripted--and no, to the cynics, it was nothing lesbian-esque either...it was pure sisterly love. I get misty everytime I see that part. To me, that kiss represented all the hell they caught in the early days of performing & having to enter in the rear of the stage halls--the Negro entrance. The kiss spoke to their common struggles--it spoke to Black agape love! Selah!

Oh my.... When ADW cast Patti and Diahann to play Whitney and Dwayne's Mother's was just the right medicine for this show. I love these two amazing actress and both played excellent comedy roles. I enjoy every episode where Patti and Diahann were going at it. Seeing this again brought back good memories of BLACK televisions. I was literally having flashbacks of what I was doing in the early 90's. "They say It's A Different Word, From Where You're Coming From".
