  • did you say you cant get 3G speeds in the US? Do you know what your talking about?

  • does the HTC touch diamond wi-fi connect to internet even if u dont get those really expensive data plans with ur cellular provider? like can i just get a cheap plan and then use its wi-fi capabilities to use open internet networks?

  • You absolutely can. That's one of the things so nice about having WiFi on the device. Just remember to turn off the cell data connection so that the device doesn't try to connect all the time.

  • Totally agree ! Having WiFi connectivity with a cellphone is awesome! I browse the internet using my n95 8gb through wi-fi all the time.

  • This phone is got a neat UI and good hardward specs, but honestly... i just don't like Windows Mobile's performance... it's always seemed kind of slow to me... that's a turn off... iPhone handles the graphic part just lovely. Besides of the lack of radio and video recording on the iPhone, i think i wouldn't miss so much from the HTC Diamond, what's more... i've been hearing more and more about development for the iPhone than for the Windows Mobile platform. Peace out.

  • you do realise that WinMo can only operate as well as the hardware right? Only reason why iPhone runs well because it has a lot of memory and CPU power. Some WinMo phones only have 200Mhz with a minimal of 64MB or less memory, not giving a lot of resources for WinMo to function properly.

  • oh and development for the WinMo has been around for many many years....years before OS X was even announced. There are litterally thousands (if not close to millions) of user/ 3rd party apps developed for WinMo. Only reason why iphone application development is so popular, is because Apple marketed the hell out of that thing. You should do some research first, because iPhone may have set a new design standard, but it's not the first smart phone touch screen device.

  • Actually the Opera browser doesn't support that. Using circle to zoom works in IE and some other applications.

  • Oh yes it does, there's tons of diamond youtube videos that demonstrates this.

  • instead of double tapping u know u can use the touch wheel and move ur finger ina circle to zoom in and out right?
