The moment I heard this song I was smitten!! Then I heard, "Model Man" by Belew and I was riven with pleasure. Then I heard "Young Lions" by Belew, about the scene surrounding the crucifixion of Christ and I regard it as arguably the greatest song the earth has ever produced.

Seems like I'm not on my own: "The musicianship is quite sloppy - the beat is all over the place and vocally it's not his best" - exactly what I said but perhaps in a less strong way!!! And, by the way, I HAVE heard amateur bands produce better than this. Maybe this wasn't his best performance; maybe some of the other stuff he did in the past is a lot better but I was commenting on THIS performance which, let's be honest, isn't all that good!! Volume doesn't make up for a poor performance!

I was there at this show. If it is the Nov 7 show, it was my birthday and Adrian signed the shirt on my back. If not, it was the Belly-up show done about 1.5 years later, either way, I wuz there!! He mingled with the crowd for an hour after the show. Freekin awesome

both the bassist and drummer were picked up from the paul green school of rock music in philedelphia. He went there one day to give a special lesson to the kids and ended up hiring two of them

The bass player and drummer are siblings, actually - Eric and Julie Slick. Adrian was a guest professor at the school and Paul introduced Eric and Julie to Ade as the best students he's ever seen. The three of them played 'City of Tiny Lites' together as the audition four years ago. Julie owns and operates a studio in Philly and engineers and produces other local bands. (Cheers Elephant) She also works as a server in a restaurant when she's not on the road.

Yeah the slicks are great, i actually just saw Eric slick with his other project Crescent moon a few months ago, and they rock just as hard, its just him and this bassist, i forget his name, but hes great.
