@iLeaveYouWithHugs Swingset bit was done in photoshop. It is a still image fading into a video. VERY simple effect, but it looks okay. I was chatting to Pappy and apparently you can do similar things in after effects and they look even cooler.

Also, I didn't compliment your video. But, seriously, it was good. The script probably telegraphed the message of the video a little much, but in a 5 minute video, there is going to be quite a bit of explaining to do.

I'm really amazed at the effects, though. The things us kids these days can do in our rooms on a computer is amazing. I'd love to see you do something with effects like this and just a little tighter script. It would be fantastic.

I totally agree about effects. George Lucas has said that the next star wars will be made on a desk top computer, and you can totally see why. Unreal.

@RogueBlueJay Well, with the internet how it is, the next star wars has probably been made and it's somewhere on the internet and people just haven't discovered it yet.

I find it really exciting for the future of the film industry that people can just make their own movies at home on their computers for almost nothing (compared to hollywood money). I bet that in 10 years we will be seeing movies that would have normally never made it off youtube on big screens in cinemas.

@Juanitothegreat I think that because everyone can do effects in there rooms, we will see a return to solid acting. Hollywood will do less effects, because they will be seen as 'cheezy.' It's going to be really interesting to see where things go from here.

@RogueBlueJay I'm not sure about that one. I think we are so engrained into a celebrity culture that Hollywood will never give up their celebrities so they can use Actors. That isn't to say SOME of our celebrities didn't get to their level of fame without overcoming hardships and being damn good at what they do, but, let's face it, some of them lucked into it because they look good on screen and have "interesting" personal lives.
