okay, price doesn't matter, and I'm wondering which lens/lenses are best for film making? I have an EFS 18-55 mm (starter kit) lens and it works okay, but I'd like something that really makes an impact. Any ideas?
hey ive got the same lens and camera body but my quick mode focusing takes twice as long as yours. I took the time and yours takes 0.7seconds to focus while mine usualy takes 1.4seconds or more. Some adjustments i need to make to my camera?
Hi Dave a quick question with my Canon T2i camera, when I try to shoot in movie mode after about a minute of shooting may camera stop and a message on the screen says "Movie recording has been stopped automatically". The memory card that I am using comes with the camera when I purchased it. It's a 8GB SanDisk SDHC Card Class 4 have you come across with this problem before? any tips/solution to this problem? thanks

@reggiecl you need a class 6 memory card sdhc, many people like to use sdhc transcend class 6. i personally use transcend 16gb class 10 memory card and i face no problems with video recording. cheers
You need a "faster" card. Try class 6 or above. I recommend that you get a class 10 card and you will have absolutely no problems. I had this same issue when I bought a class 4 card. Even the continuous shooting (pictures) feels a bit faster with the class 10 card.
@TheDailyBaker The Canon EOS 550D, announced by Canon on February 8, 2010. It was made available starting February 24, 2010 and to US dealers starting early March. It is known as the EOS Kiss X4 in Japan, and as the EOS Rebel T2i in North America. It continues the entry level digital SLR camera series (known as Rebel line in North America) of Canon, and is currently placed by Canon as the successor model to the EOS 500D, and has been superseded by the EOS 600D (T3i). —Wikipedia
@consultjohan is the 550D a specific upgrade/model of the t2i? I'm not seeing 550d on the ones I'm looking to buy online.. anyone know the difference between the 550d and a t2i EF-S ? I don't want to make the wrong purchase, I tried using google to find the difference and I'm not finding much at all... Thanks in advance!
@4flex4 It's 50fps on PAL and 60fps on NTSC. Check your color system and select the one best for your purposes. If youre going to be uploading to YouTube only, you might as well select NTSC, so you can shoot at 60fps for 720p
Hey!!what lens did u used?...it seems that it doesnt work with the kit lens 18-55mm..and im really frustrated!..and the whole picture is really blurry.
@drumat5280 tnx for the prompt response..another question if you dont mind...it seems that the hd video doesnt work with my Dual Core processor computer...it doesnt play and it only shows the picture and you can only hear just the audio...do you really need to get a CORE 2 DUO processor just to play the video?..tnx for ur time.
@sem2082 I had the same problem. Shot some great videos with my 550D but when I came to edit them, my PC was having none of it. Just wasn't powerful enough. After spending £800 on a 6 core, 8gb RAM monster everything is great.
What the heck! You said "For each video"! You're just simulating auto exposure and focus on single shots and not video.... I knew it wouldn't be possible for this camera to autofocus while on video... damn!
@objectiveguru Well it still auto focuses when it's recording if you push the shutter button halfway, you just can't use the red dot system to pin point the area that should be in focus, I prefer to do it all manually but it is really, really tough.
