  • Is there an extended version of this?

  • 1st time I went to play this game heard this song I had to put the cntrl down and go have hot sex my woman.

  • lets be honest. great sound track, the next one to download is the one from mafia 2.

  • I freaking love this game. No cheats, no guides, and I beat the game 100%. I might actually become a Private Detective.

  • @opticannon I hear you. This song is smooth and relaxing. Really makes you think.

  • Im waiting for my activation key at the moment. I was at the screen with the neon light "L.A. Noire" and this music showd up. and i cant wait any longer for my key. Because i really love the setting the game. i love the atmosphere and the feeling

  • Shame there won't be a second LA Noire :(

  • First time I played the game, when this started playing in the main menu I KNEW shit will be classy.

  • fire place, wine, raining at night with a cigar and a revolver

  • Baby making music, lol!

  • i want to know how to play this on piano badly :(

  • I walked around at night smoking cigarretes, almost naked only wearing my favorite tie, with oil all over my body while listening to this in my ipod. dont know why... just felt like it.

  • i listen to this at least once everyday

  • Wish i lived in the 40's and 50's America

  • @TheTHATClan And get drafted in WWII/Korea? No thanks :))

  • ._. I wanna go outside and pretend to be a detective now while this music is in the backround and its nice and dark lol

  • Who is playing trumpet on this?

And 1:00 Freddie Hubbard 'Little Sunflower' quote

  • This game was awesome and I've really felt connected to Cole Phelps and had me entertained at all times. As much as i loved it i think that in no way this is better than red dead redemption, But at the same time they're quite different.

  • 0 Dislikes lets keep it that way.

  • @47TERRELL What sort person would dislike this video and sleep at night.

  • @GameCentreOrg Don't know man but there is one out there apparently.

  • @GameCentreOrg Can you help me? I'm basically looking for the more melancholy version of this... It's a bit faster and usually came on when in the car with Rusty... Can't seem to find it...

  • @47TERRELL 2 things, the dislike button is like lady gaga's penis: it's small and shouldn't be there. Aaaaaand. Most people probably think "dislike" actually means.... "Nigga DIS SHIT I LIKE!!"

  • @lilrobb556 i understand i understand

  • Erika Heynatz looks sexy as hell

  • Put this to Rainy Mood and Endless Youtube, you've got yourself a hell of a sound.

  • right aren't rights if they can be taken away...they're privilages - George Carlin

  • people of the interwebs, the government is trying to fuck with our internet freedom!!

A new bill ( s.978) if passed would technically apply to 'videos' like this one, making it a Felony to Stream or Rebroadcast copywrited material.

  • this was so touching that this is the last song i want to hear before i die.

  • instruments melodizing each other in a symphony that speaks so many words with notes and mixtures of true music. the music spoke to me in its own language and i as a confused person who didnt understand a word, could realize the music was spilling its soul out to me. i had to ask myself who am i not to embrace it with my own soul. i spilled my soul to it and i could only look into musics true face. it was then that i realized i only heard but still saw so much. this was beautiful, thank you.

  • What's the name of the song that plays when you hover over the game on your PS3 menu? anyone know what i'm talking about? before you click X to play the game, it plays a nice piano tune.

  • Andrew Hale.

  • I like to listen to this while it's raining and sit next to an open window.

  • @EdenOfNothing

Search on Youtube-> RainyMood (First result with the most views) and play simultaneously with this song. :)

  • get me an all night coffe shop, a rainy night in the city, trench coat and fedora stat!

  • I listened to this while driving through the city at night

  • I go to bed listing to this song, its so relaxing and makes me feel like I am in the good old 40's .

  • I'm a stiffler about it because I can imagine putting nearly 10 years of my blood sweat and tears into a project only to have someone else get all the credit.

So, just so people are clear ; Rockstar DID NOT develop LA Noire. Team Bondi DID.

    1247...

  • fantastic game i beat it a few days ago one of the best story games i have ever played great music too everyody who cares about 40s history would love this game i highly suggest it

  • The peope at Rockstar Games are such great video game developers. First with the GTA series, then Red Dead Redemption (deep story, really connected with John Marston) and now with L.A. Noire. Rockstar do know how to set musical pieces in tune with a game, GTA III had that nice K Jah Radio, the drum n bass station too, nice music in Vice City, San Andreas , JNR Jazz from GTA IV, Red Dead with some nice emotional songs and now the icing on the cake, some cool wine drinking with your girl jazz.

  • @Palmar3s LA noire was developed by the good folks at Team Bondi (The Getaway, The Getaway: Black Monday), Rockstar lent their tech and open world interface.

People are giving R* too much credit. They should be credited with bring this game to a wider audience, marketing it, and credited with making LA Noire Multi-platform.

Originally to be published by SCEA, LA Noire was going to be a PS3 Exclusive.

  • @eddiefonzarelli

Thank you bro. I really didn't know the details, Rockstar logo just fooled me a little bit and didn't focus entirely on the Team Bondi logo, but needless to say, whoever made the music, props to them

  • @eddiefonzarelli Im glad they didnt they wouldve lost more than half of sales

  • @Palmar3s Rockstar didnt make this

  • @MrBassiej

yea. I just kind of saw the Rockstar logo and assumed, my bad. Rockstar just "lent" some of their technology.

  • @bfolkrod

real talk my dude same thoughts here, I was gonna comment saying the same thing, but you hit the spot. peace brother

  • I walked around at night smoking cigarrettes while listening to this on my ipod. .dont know why. . . just felt like it.

  • @rfp415 Why would you not :)

  • @GameCentreOrg yea haha, why wouldnt anybody its, smooth. . .also ran into a dead body (Lie)

  • @rfp415 Done that. Makes you feel like a classiest motherfucker in the world... although I'm sure I looked pretty silly while I was doing it :-)

  • @rfp415

sounds like a lot of fun, no joke lol, except i wouldn't smoke because i'm 17 and i don't like smoking lol.. but walking around listening to this? yeah!

  • @rfp415 Don't forget your wine glass, sunglasses, and 44 calliber revolver :P

  • @rfp415 it has a way of stealing your soul if you let it. it often times reminds me of the city though, looking out over it from the HH parkway...or the metro north running through harlem.

  • where is my whiskey and cigaretts

  • alone, dark place, smoking some tobacco, drinking whisky and listening this song....

  • I think Henry Mancini would have liked this...

  • Andrew Hale.

  • Rockstar always does such a great job on games, I can't wait for the new Grand theft auto. I know they're taking their time on that just like they did with this game, glad I bought L.A. Noire

  • i picture a guy, alone, drinking a scotch, in the 40's

  • God I want the song that plays on the XMB menu when you highlight the game...what is that?

  • The fun thing is that music like this has existed longer than what most people here have even lived, and this is how they discover it - through a video game. I am too, one of these people.

  • @ScaryMeadow Are you saying... people didn't know about Jazz until now?

  • @Androu1 "Know about" and "know" are different things. I've met plenty of people around their 20's that haven't heard a single jazz song before. I admit I don't know much jazz myself, but at least I've heard one or two albums via my grandparents.

  • @ScaryMeadow now that people have discovered it,they should embrace it :)

  • @LeBearExtrordinare Oh yes! Music some 60-70 years ago was of a whole new quality.

  • @ScaryMeadow agreed,those days were full of class :)

  • L.A Noire is the best game of 2011. Great Job, Team Bondi

  • I don't even have this game, but I would totally buy it, mainly to listen to the music, and the game itself looks amazing!

  • @Xe1887, go to rainymood and have it play in the background, it sounds fantastic.

  • I really hope that this soundtrack pushes gaming enthusiasts to explore music from the 40's.

Post-War Era was quite a time in music.

  • Thumbs up if you made your TV black and white, then played this game!

  • @Garrence88 I play in black and white mode too. Really glad they out that in the options.

  • @Garrence88 you know theres a black and white mode in the options?

  • @Spiderpig02 No, I did not. Either way, it fit. And they should have made the default black and white.

  • Pretty much everything is amazing about this game. bloody love it! cant wait to get home, eat and then play this til the impending rapture.. or til late into the night :L nice way to go i think.. :L

  • cigar any one ?

  • Sounds like something off a Chet Baker record or Miles Davis Kind of Blue era. I have chills listening to this.

  • Smoooooooooooooth... ♥ :)

  • who did this song?

  • @spiritintosoul Claudia Brucken

  • @GameCentreOrg

Actually this was done by Andrew Hale. Claudia Brucken only contributed to three tracks. (I always kill) The things I love, Guilty, and Torched song.

  • @GameCentreOrg I'm pretty sure this particular song was done by Andrew and David Hale, as there is no singing, that pretty much cancels out Claudia Brucken as a contributor.

  • @GameCentreOrg hey man arent there different versions to this track? do you have them

  • @GameCentreOrg Actually it was Andrew Hale who wrote this. He did work on Red Dead Redemption and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Great composer and incredible orchestrator. There's a slight Gil Evans quality to his orchestrating (if a bit heavier), at least to me. IMO he perfectly captured the essence of this game.

  • @GameCentreOrg A lady made this and blew it out of the water!!!! 5/5 simply amazing!

  • @GameCentreOrg Wasn't she from Propaganda in the 80's?

  • @spiritintosoul - Andrew Hale. La Noire OST is on iTunes.

  • @spiritintosoul Andrew Hale

  • Soundtrack of the year, folks! Now get out there by some war bonds XD

  • Just need a fire place & some whine. If it was also raining outside, that's be a nice touch.

  • @Xe1887 And then you get Murdered!

  • @Xe1887 LOVE IT

  • Wow, that was great. This track would be right at home in a Mike Hammer story, with the voice over. I can't wait to play this game.

  • perfect...

  • awesome

  • :D
