Started at exactly 0:17. hit 60 at exactly 0:23. so the speedo could be off or i could be wrong but thats 6 seconds to sixty the way i see it. either way, a fast, nice car.

my dad has a 2008 grand prix gxp and took out the 5.3L v8 and the 4 speed automatic and put in a supercharged 6.2L v8 mated with a 6 speed automatic now it gose 0-60 in 4.8 seconds with FWD.

more than the GXP.and the gxp gets pretty decent gas mileage, its comfortable, spacious, sporty looking, and a powerful ass engine. anyone who argues and has a car under$ 30000 can talk it up with a gxp owner....me i am a grand prix owner and love my car.the Pontiac Grand Prix of all kinds.the gt,gtp,comp-G,and the gxp are all safe,pratical american cars where u can either use strictly for transportation or for fun.

I have looked up K&N intakes and they run roughly 300$ for about en estimated 15HP (according to K&N.com) and that is an impressive gain with just intake. The stock intake must be extremely restrictive, more than most. I drive a Pontiac G6 VVT 3.5L, and I was gonna get a G6 GTP 6Spd manual but I found GP GXP's that perform better for roughly the same price. How does your car compare to mustang GT's and such?

@AliveThroughChrist7 Ive never lost to a mustang but then again ive never raced a souped up one either, it is quicker than a stock mustang gt by a little but the ride quality is better and has gobbs more TQ. The K&N intake will give you way more potency in the winter and all year round about 4 mpg better so it pays for itself in months. Handling on the GXP is pretty good to with a .82 on the skidpad which is good for a big car.

@boo1086 Believe what you want. More power, more torque, and it only weighs around 200 lbs more....yet this tank from the factory has a 0-60 time of 5.7 compared to the 03 gt's 6.1, mine is not stock and ive done 0-60 as fast as 5.0 seconds so yes it will win against a stock or lightly modded gt.

@SuperKazra actually stock gt's shift at 35 mph. only gt's with raised shift points shift into 2nd at 35+ ive got a pcm and my shift point is 6100 rpm at 42 mph and 3rd at 90 mph. what rps is your car shifting at? if its below 6000 then its definately got some seriously high gears in it.

Fast, but how do you manage wheelspin so well- I know the tires are wide, but still, usually powerful front-drive cars can't get much grip when doing a full throttle launch. And does the torque steer get in the way? Becaue just about every review i've read about gxp/impala ss, they say that traction and torque steer is a big problem.

@373axle it might have been a problem for the 07 and down, but I can hit the gas to the floor with the hands off the wheel and it keep perfectly straight, dont know if its just my car or if they fixed it. that was with traction control but it really comes down to throttle feathering to where the TC dont kick in and you get the perfect balance between gas and grip. ive gotten it to right at 5.0 seconds b4 when its cold out.

@stevedhenning watch the timer on the video, and I timed it on phone, im not partial to my car but it really will do it in about 5.5 on hot day and around 5.0 is the best ive seen on a cold day. I know ive ran a 350 z before and he didnt keep up like I thought he would but I know each car could be faster or slower depending on the driver, I know the factory specs the GP has very similar to the 350 with 0-60 and 1/4 mile.

@under0ath87 underoath is an awesome band, anyways definitely get the intake(knn) it cost $300 but it pays for itself easily afer a couple months because it will give you around 4 mpg better, also i prefer flowmaster exhaust but most go with magnaflow.
