  • Are you writing on toilet paper???

  • well, anyone can learn anything, if theres a will,

keep on your efforts and you will do best and best.

  • by the way, the camera was in an awkward angle so i felt less free to express the strokes on a brush, if the camera was not there, my arms would have been more spread out and i would have painted comfortably - im left handed so its anoying when i literally "block" what writing i have just done :( ....

  • The stroke order is wrong.

You cannot write hanzi without the exact stroke order

  • read the other comments here - what do i say?? - i am learning - i am showing my EFFORT when i am LEARNING a very new and difficult language to me....

  • @FuturisticXXL

I'm also learning Chinese (and hanzi) and I just started Chinese calligraphy (I have a long way to go). I definitely agree (not trying to be critical) that you should work on your stroke order, as it is very important and will probably make your calligraphy flow better and look more beautiful.

  • did you use a soft brush or a hard hair brush???

  • soft brush - the goat hair - the brush i used was a little bit old. Some people prefer hard or soft hair...

  • hello! what kind of paper is that???

  • toilet roll - the best paper for calligraphy exercise believe it or not - it absorbs the ink easier than newspaper - newspaper would be my second option for practicing

  • You are getting better and better. Good try.

  • thankyou - i will keep practicing every day

  • your stroke sequences are incorrect.

  • i know i am still learning

  • You first have to learn the correct stroke order. To do a lot of times a character with a incorrect stroke order is useless and harmful. You have to search a master. You can practice for hudred years but you will ever write trash, like this.

  • thankyou - well not many 15 year old school teenagers living in the uk actually try to learn chinese calligraphy - yes im not chinese - and chances are i wont meet a "master" - BUT i am making effort and if you think all my learning is "TRASH" - i don't care - why don't you make a video and explain to the rest of the world. I have only been practicing for less than a month - so i think i am doing fine........................
