  • Wonderful... I hope the message means as much to the choir as it does to me :)

    Greetings from England.. :)

  • Some of them couldn't look more bored. Hard to watch. They don't have to be grinning from ear to ear either. Nice blend of voices.

  • Terrific to see a choir and orchestra of young people making such good music. However - it is too fast. Parry marked in his manuscript - SLOW with animation. This orchestra is Based on Elgar's. Parry's own scoring is much more sober and gives greater prominence to his wonderful melody. Elgar made is orchestration some year's after Parry's death!

  • I presume this is an Americanl choir?? It's not bad, but too high pitched, needs more bass in it. Unusual to hear/see an Americal choir singing this great British hymn

  • @trackieben it's because our choir trip was to England that year

  • It's all good,but from 1:12 it becomes magical.

  • WhirledSol, yes, the hymn is by Parry, to words by Blake from the forward to Milton. This orchestration is by Elgar, and he was knighted for it.

  • opps, lol.

yeah, Elby and Nick are just mocking the orchestra or something. Caught on tape, lol.

  • It's Parry, not Elgar.

The chorus seems empty for some reason.

    Elby and Nick are hilarious.

    Wonderful performance!
