@rubberwoody Because these cars came with shit exhaust from the factory, its not the same with the new mustangs tho, talking about 2011+ they already got very good manifolds and factory xpipe with nice even bends all you have to do is change out the mufflers.

The camaro is a peice of shit with a nice motor from the vette.Tune the mustang and minor boltons,you'll be killing camaros all day and plus, you will have a nicer looking and a nicer car,lighter and more fun to drive and dont get me started on the exhast note

Lets see a video of your charged 2.5 bro. What size pulley are you running? Are you running a centrifugal or positive displacement?? What model...? What internals? With an engine displacement that small (your 2.5 170hp v6) it would have been more more efficient to make it turbo.. considering the charger is probably using about 1/3 of your crank power to run it. I know they made a charger for the newer cougars with a similar engine but it was only about a 30hp increase for 3 grand.
@rkjer It's a 2.3 liter V6 w/210 hp/210 lb-ft of torque, NOT a 2.5. :) Took out cats so making around 217 at the crank, guesstimating, havent dynoed yet. It has a centrifugal supercharger. I believe you are talking about your cars GVW(which would make sense, the sticker does not mention actual weight) not curb weight, because all other sources say around 3470 lbs. Millenia S. i drive the same car, your taking it way to easy on the launch to get any kind of good acceleration, you have a 3.27 gear in the back, a little wheelspin would help your acceleration more than it hurts it.
to narutoisnotdead......it's a V8. You can tell by the sound, and also by the 150 mph speedometer. The V6 doesn't sound like that, and the V6 Mustang got the 120 mph speedometer for that model year. :)

i have a 01 gt auto and it shifts into second gear at 57/58 mph and even though redline is about 5800 it shifts at 6200 rpms. u think my car came with a chip or a tune? it came lowered 2.5 inches with headers and full exhaust so its possible!what u think?

im thinking we both do and i have a chip with a custom tune. if it was a programer they would have put it back to factory settings before they traded in the car so they could sell the programer. my car rips though! it barks the tires going into second and it has over 100,000 miles and nothing has ever been replaced yet! awesome car!
With shorter gears, you'd shift at a lower speed, b/c the rpms climb faster. Numerically higher gear ratios (e.g., 4.10's) are considered to be "shorter" because the MPH range has been shortened compared to stock..
it doesnt make any power above 5200 anyway so there is no reason to be mad, 5600 is actually overkill on a stock engine, if nothing else leave it alone, you should actually lower it some if you get a tuner for it.

@larryadam2 lmao, and what do you have? besides 3 stolen videos of youtube? my 01 gt with this same setup ran 13.874. not the fastest, but its identicle to an 08 evo x, and alot of other things, its very quick for a daily driver that gets me about 25mph hwy and something ill never be worried about breaking down.

i have a 01 gt auto and it shifts into second gear at 57/58 mph and even though redline is about 5800 it shifts at 6200 rpms. u think my car came with a chip or a tune? it came lowered 2.5 inches with headers and full exhaust so its possible!what u think?

im thinking we both do and i have a chip with a custom tune. if it was a programer they would have put it back to factory settings before they traded in the car so they could sell the programer. my car rips though! it barks the tires going into second and it has over 100,000 miles and nothing has ever been replaced yet! awesome car!

With shorter gears, you'd shift at a lower speed, b/c the rpms climb faster. Numerically higher gear ratios (e.g., 4.10's) are considered to be "shorter" because the MPH range has been shortened compared to stock..

it doesnt make any power above 5200 anyway so there is no reason to be mad, 5600 is actually overkill on a stock engine, if nothing else leave it alone, you should actually lower it some if you get a tuner for it.
