That is the worst kind of pickle sausage. The good ones come in a jar with their own brine. I grew up in the south eating these and I love them. I guess I could see people thinking they were strange but .. yeah still think they are super yum.

Man, I'm a chick and grew up eating these. Eating a Big Mama right now. The liquid is just vinegar. I like to drink it. In fact, during the Super Bowl back in 1998, I'd drink a shot glass of the vinegar juice once every quarter. (I had a jar of the mini's.) They do open your head. I'm starting to get a sinus infection and the salty and brininess helps! =~D

@c8a6lvin Just like a regular hotdog, it will pop at the ends. They are better if you boil them. You can buy a pack of hot sausages just for heating. Look near the regular sausage at your grocery store. Just heat and eat on a hotdog bun.
