Anyone have a theory in why Roy pushed Nathan away while they were parked in the car? It looked they were doing the same thing they did on the bus? It seems like Roy was receiving Nathan in both situations? So I was wondering what was different this time?

@LJNOW22 He pushed him away because he was shocked Nathan knows so much about having sex with a man. In the bus, they havent done "every thing" but in the car they did. I just know this from the book. (sorry for my bad english ^^)

I love this book!!!! I read it hundreds of times while I was growing up. It's by Jim Grimsley I think. A very beautiful and powerful book, full of first time love and tragedy. Now I must own the move. I must!!!!

For some reason, the parts are misnumbered; so the correct sequence is 1 2 5 3 4 6 7 8

One fault of the movie is that the most crucial dialog that is essential to the progression of the plot is mumbled by the 2 main actors so that it's largely inaudible.

i haven't seen the film yet, but read the book....im not sure but most of the scenes, that i saw by now were so clumsy (and the actors weren't so good) and the feeling that you had while reading the book wasn't there so i hope the films not like he seemed to me. probably this is because i havent seen the fiml completely by now ^^'

Everyone complaining about the violent scenes, this movie is based off a book and those scenes were in the book. It wouldn't have been right to remove those scenes from the movie.

i purchased the DVD through amazon uk for much less than youd have to pay in the states , the rape and beatings and bullying scenes makes this film a torment, not to mention the incredibly banal script - I mean could the lines be any more trite ? but with the volume off can watch through the tent scene (but no more) over and over again

This film would be so much better if it didnt include the whole 'rape' and 'beating's'. It made it sort of awful in a way. Roy and Nathan are such a cute couple :3 its like real life yaoi! Oh...and doesnt that Roy dude look a little too young to be driving a bus? :S

I went to Piccadillo Pictures site and they said it will be released in US on July 7.

I just finished the novel and still maintain that Max R. was a perfect choice for Roy. He's adorable,sensitive,etc.

well, I'm actually disappointed on the actor, he's nothing like the original character (looks wise) that sucks when you've already read the book.

The actor playing Nathan doesn't look like the character as described in the book either: he's desribed as small and with hair cut close to his head. The actor playing Roy seems to capture the aura of the character, regardless of the color of his hair. You should also remember that the character that Jake G. played in "Brokeback Mountain" is described in the original story as buck-toothed and having a pot belly. I don't think there were too many complaints that the movie went a different way.

That's why I said that the actor playing Roy was too small. The actor playing Nathan looks like a very soft spoken boy -exactly how I imagined him in the book- whereas the other one...well, to each his own...I didn't read BM by the way.
