To xikoito: Yes, she is. Wouldn't have changed anything except for the substance abuse. She was fabulous ... just the way she was. Simply the best. She would have been 65 in just a few days ... if she were still here. Hope she's in heaven and happy at last.

thanks for posting this. She is a one of a kind. Amazing to think she had absolutely no self esteem, she is one of the most soulfull singers ever with a quality to make you feel what she feels through her songs.

Actually she had plenty of self esteem, it's just that she gave her love so freely that it was taken for granted and when she finally was engaged to be married she was gone. Committment ws the thing she always sought and never had. Carrot on a stick always dangled but never delivered to her.
