For those simple minded people that have this misconception about blacks, we are not this "hood" or "thug" life that is over exposed on TV. MANY of us attend universities (many HBCU's) get our degrees and go on to be tax paying citizens with good jobs. My mother (single mother) put all 3 of her boys through universities and never been to the jailhouse or cemetary behind us. My family has 1 M.I.T graduate, 4 with doctorate degrees, 50% of us are higher ed and two own their own private school.
