Many words can be considered countable or uncountable according to what you mean. For example, you can say Is there any icecream? referring to the mass of stuff in a tub or I bought 3 icecreams for the kid referring to 3 individual cones. Another - the islands were separated by short distances.
It is easy to learn countable and uncountable noun in this vedio, but I got really confused when I read English book..
For example, 'For a wireless network spanning large geographical distances, you can..... '. I think distance is a uncoutable noune and I dont understand that the writer could come up with plural form of distance in the sentense.
