@cole300 you mean the whole winch set-up? I'll have to ask Doug (we use each other's accounts interchangeably). He uses Amsteel blue rope (8,000 lb strength) for the winch.
I am using Amsteel blue rope for winch in the video. The factory cable will break within a day or two. This is my third year with the new rope and no problems yet.
I got the 8,000 lbs strength. Hope this helps.
And no I cannot plow 2 feet at one time unless you peal the corners like an union.
Nice set up. I have a Rubicon as well and want to outfit it with a plow. I will probably go with the same as you. Do you have a problem wearing out the first few feet of your winch cable? Is your engine and trans holding up well? Thanks for posting the vid. Take care
@rosscopeeko1 Yes I seem to remember we did have probs with the first few feet of the winch cable. There's some strong rope the hubs bought to take care of it. I'll ask him and reply to you again.

@miikeyy4598 sorry I took so long to reply. We purchased the atv/winch/plow from a Honda dealership that specializes in motorcycles, scooters, waverunners, dirtbikes and atvs. Just For Fun Honda in Middlefield, Ohio.
@TheBowlingboy300 I'm trying to remember. I think the plow was $700 and they put the hardware on at the dealership. It's so simple to pop on and off that I can do it (and I'm a 5'2" 125lb chick). It also has these discs on the bottom that make it easy to drag, cuz it's heavy.
Thinking of getting one of these for the end of my driveway when the big guys leave a three foot pile of wet shit there after going by. How good is yours for the heavy stuff?
@Scavezzacapi I really should look at these comments more often. Hazarding a guess (at 4am cuz I can't sleep cuz of the heat wave we're in) 6-7 feet long with the plow attached. We built the shed in the video specifically for the atv/plow but made it deeper for other stuff like shovels, fuel/oil, locks, salt etc.
So....its a back seat with clearly raised letters "NOT A SEAT" you know people these days, their gonna look at it like.."hm, a seat i shall ride 2 up on my ATV with this thing! woohoo!"
How do you like the front mount? It looks like it'd be a pain in the butt to try and push back large snow piles. I have a mid mount Moose straight plow and it does a great job of bulldozing the tops of snow piles the I simply go back for a second pass to scrape the remaining.
Yeah macooni2001 but i bought it without the winch and had it put on there from the dealer and it only has 1 winter of use.. nothing else and lights almost die the fourwheeler almost stalls so i dont know
I was wondering... I have a 2008 honda rubicon 500.. I have the warn winch and the 54" plow.. When i put my plow up and down my lights sie and my fourwheeler sometimes dies... what can i do about this.. thanks
hey you might want to check the wireing for the winch. i have a honda foreman 500es and i installed the winch myself and it works wonderful. make sure your cables are not backwards. if thats not it you need a new battery, if thats the case buy a vary good one because the cheap ones are not worth the time of day
how mutch do you charge per plow if you did 5-7 drives like that and some every week or so in the seasion you could pay back the plow and some of the atv?
I wouldn't know. I originally bought the plow to take care of our parking lot and thought maybe I would pick up some more drives to get a little bit of extra money. But I never had time to solicit business and we lived in an area where people were pretty tight. We just moved to an area where once again I have a big parking lot (I also run a business where I see clients at my home) so I'll need to plow. Not sure I'll have time pick up drives here either.
I got the rapid mount with the 60" moose county plow also now and wow how easy to mount and dismount it. Pretty strong. I have the sportsman 800 efi with tatuo 4s tracks and People cant belive it when they see me plowin
no, I only plow in 4wd, however - when I start to make quick turns on the pavement that has little to no snow because I just plowed it I will switch to 2wd on the fly. it's almost like a zero-turn mower because the back side comes spinning all the way around thus your turning radius is quick. Then it's back to 4wd.
yeah a cvt automatic. 2-wheel will not do the job pushing snow imho. whenever i leave mine in 2, i couldn't push deeper than an inch. however it is great to switch to 2 on the fly when turning.
thats not true got a honda recon plowed a thousand foot dirveway up hill in two feet a snow only had to put three cinder blocks on back a 25 % tread on tires got the jod b done
Thanks. I bought my blade a week ago. What are you calling the pivot joint? The place where the blade can angle from side to side, or where the blade can tip forward?
thats exactly what i use to plow. same plow, and same model. We got 10.3 inches of snow, and it really helped cuz i made 135$ today plowing hoo yah!!!
What is an average price of something like that?.. if any one knows
