  • lol so i really like that your going to be doing news stories with your opinions i think you should stick to the LGBTQIAP (sorry if i'm missing any) but as well as other stories you know its a great time to do videos along the political election and such thats all the ideas have for now. I quite liked your drawing and there better be unicorns in the future cause i want one as a pet!

  • @evandr101 haha thanks! glad you liked it. i keep getting busy but i'm trying to figure out a new video to do in the next few days

  • I love this!!! Im an MSJ grad student right here with you at NU and you are right on! So excited that you'll be a part of journalism's f***ing future with the rest of us. Looking forward to more!

  • @dana00961 Hell yeah! So excited to see another Medildo on this thread :D Glad you liked it and thanks so much for the encouragement!!!

  • Good vid dude!

  • @JamesH4K thanks!

  • About the video, great idea! Just make sure you follow on it ¬¬. I think "future journalism" has already begun, but it's still developing. About some news to report, how about the mexican drug war? =P I'm mexican and I've gone to Canada, so I've experienced first-hand the impression other people have and I'd like to know how people in the US percieve it. I'm trusting you to be biased and honest yet accurate and informed. I know it's a rough subject.

    And about the unicorns...fuck yeah!!!

  • @aDemidovable11 Haha thanks! I honestly don't know enough about the Mexican drug war to report on it super accurately. It's pretty far outside of my field of study and knowledge base, but if I ever stumble across something that makes me more informed I'll def. keep it in mind!

  • I just realized the guy I'm dating looks a lot like you. I'd say I have good taste in men. =P

  • I absolutely agree with you on the fact that journalism is changing and with this change comes responsibility for more effective and competent communicating with people. If we look at the way journalism as been carried since it begins, we can see a pattern of information that is misleading to the general public. I would like to see a more transparent and accountable media. I believe you have what it takes to be able to act as a sort of a force for change.

  • @o5vx thanks for your vote of confidence! i'll try to bring the transparency that i think we should have :)

  • When will you be doing a shirtless video?

  • @M00nGlitz haha i wouldn't count on it

  • @lazerybyl tell everyone your shirtless and only film from the neck up -- lol

  • @Toyman6000 That'd just be cheating haha. Maybe over the summer or something I'll do a video about the beach.

  • You are just too cute! I also love the way you can talk for 8+ minutes without saying "um". Anyway, since you are a liberal young student, I would love to see you do the opposite and rail against unions and dissect the Occupy Wall Street movement. That should be a challenge.

  • @nexttsar Aw, thanks! I try to remain as articulate as possible anyway :P And to be fair I don't actually know a huge amount about OWS, it doesn't seem super cohesive to me, but it's definitely topical so I'll try to see if I can think of a good way to cover it :)

  • A stick figure standing on a box would probably have fit in with the drawings.

  • Great point about objectivity. Even if I disagree, can at least respect people who are open about their opinions, but it's really annoying and dishonest when people pretend to be objective but are so obviously partial.

  • @jklolbrblmfao Absolutely, I hate when pundits try to pass themselves off as newscasters.

  • Don't forget when pamphlets were produced most of the Earth's population could not even read. As a result they had what were called towncriers. (They are now called reporters.)These were gentlemen who would stand in front of a town's population and read to them the news of the day.

  • @westsideed Very true! Although I was doing a super rough overview and didn't know how to effectively draw a picture of a crier.

  • That is a wonderful idea! There is only one thing that I can think of, how primary and secondary education are treated. The cuts that schools will have a greater impact on the children that are going through the public education system and they are unable to have music, art or theater classes. As someone going into the teaching system and someone who has firsthand seen what these progams do for students, I think that the public need to know. Thank you.

  • @Wizard7warrior Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely see if I can work on a project like that at some point. I'm trying to start out with things that aren't overly-ambitious but I'll definitely keep it in mind as stuff starts to move along :)

  • Why don't you apply to write with our LGBT blog from time to time? bit(dot)ly/FRW-apply :)

  • @FreedomRequiresWings Thanks for the offer but between school work and a freelance job I already have I'm not sure I'd have time :(

  • Very nice. I'm excited about the potential of your web series!

  • @brentehuffman thanks brent!

  • Goodluck with journalism!!! I'll read/watch whatever you write/say:) you'll be great at it, sorry got no ideas for you though :) again goodluck

  • @illusionoffire19 no worries, thanks!

  • A Fraggle Frag Frag Fraggle....;D

  • @RllyCoco what?

  • @lazerybyl I Do Not Know..:L But Hay! Love You're Vids Keep On Making Videos! :D

  • @RllyCoco haha ok, thanks!
