i too know what its like to loose a best friend. I remember growing up with this big, fat cat named Spam, and when she was 17 we had to put her down. I will never forget her and I swear her ghost still lives in our house. of course, now we have a new friend name Rosie, and I could never had asked fro a better friend. I dont belive in god, but I think Spam is watching over us, quite pleased with herself.

My cat used to sleep hard like that too, but he was never sick. He was just in a very deep sleep. Like you, I even picked his paw up and got nothing. I thought he was dead a couple times. I woke him up out of fright and he seemed annoyed that I had done that. :/
i lost a cat once.he was the only cat i raised. it was 2 years ago. i raised him from little. he never wanted to leave me when i leave the house. he came with me where ever i went. he was not just a cat he was my friend. he made those days one of the happiest in my life. one day some thing happened to him,he could'nt walk. his health became very bad. when he was about to die he called me, then i went and held him in my arms and he was gone .
@shefinq I had a cat called Sly, if ever a cat was loyal it was she. she was my best friend, i loved her so much. She would cuddle me at night and when i called her name she would meow in affection immediately. Last year the people downstairs poisoned her, just before 3 am she started meowing painfully. i held her till 9 when the vet opened, the whole time crying and holding her close comforting her and telling her it would be okay. She died an hour after reaching the vet. I miss you Sly...
@shefinq Oh I know where you come from. My cat was 16 when I had him put to sleep. It broke my heart!! He could no longer go for a pee without having his bladder squeezed by me. The muscles must have given up. I spent a fortune trying to help him but nothing worked so I had to make the hardest decision I've ever had to make. I had to say goodbye.

@shefinq No he wasnt, he was laying in your arms. I hope you buried him though. Otherwise it will start to smell. Putting him in the freezer will preserve him, that way you can still pull him out on occasion if you want to pet him. Also, if you run out of chicken breast you can clip his fur (its really easy, he wont move at ALL!) and put him in a slow cooker, very tender meat, may have freezer burn.

loosing a pet is a worst thing to go though. its one of the reasions why I do not have one. its too painfull for something like this to happen.
I hope you find a new one any time soon once you start over from scratch you will feel better . get a cute little kitten I am sorry for your lost

I just lost my cat two weeks ago today because of the FIV so I know how losing a good pet can feel. I'm not quite ready for a kitten yet. I thought I was. I know it was a long time ago but I am so sorry for your loss. He looks like a sweet cat. Passed out but sweet :)

@spurs19831983 no it isn't dead when my cat died in my arms you couldn't pick his paw up like that, it's very freeky and scary but cat's stiff up immediately after dying :(

No tiene por que estar enfermo, lo digo por los comentarios, el gato de mi amigo cuando duerme hace lo mismo es mas lo cogemos en brazos para acunarlo y es como si estuviese muerto y tarda unos 5 minutos en despertarse...es precioso.
Aun asi, ten cuidado con la cabeza del animalito que puedes hacerle daño...

I've just lost my "baby" boy. He just didn't come home one day. =( Your guys looks like he was such a sweet heart. *hugs* We have another kitty and she is due to have babies soon. Not sure on the idea of keeping one yet.
