I must say that I am torn by this situation. First the cop did not have to do that, but the woman should not act and talk to a cop like that also. My Grandmother is also 72 years old and when she acts up,,,Grandpa tazes the hell out of her and she cleans up her act.

He was NOT justified in using a lethal weapon on an unarmed, non-aggressive person.

However, remember that the officer could have very easily used force on her to get her arms behind her, but he choose to use the taser instead. Uh, really? "Get your hands behind your back" right after she got tased. I would love to see the officer attempt to execute a coordinated movement such as that after being zapped with a few thousand volts. I honestly don't care if she didn't respond to his requests. She could have easily been put into handcuffs if he thought an arrest was necessary without the use of a taser. What if she had a pacemaker? This wouldn't have warranted death.
