The "back up computer" isn't there for me, most likely because I've already done it, but I would like to do it again. how would I back up my computer again?
im trying to back up my laptop & when i click on backup & restore it just wont load up! other programs are doing the same thing! any help on fixing the problem would be much appreciated.
i was also wondering if i just wipe the laptop and get windows 7 should i even bother backing it up?
I have a virus on my computer. I have tried backing up my whole computer on to an external hardrive. All of the files backup as winrar files on the external hardrive. I need to completely reinstall my computer. Will I still be able to reach this data again?
Too bad the complete backup and restore function is completely worthless for anyone who does not have the install disk. No one with a Vista preload can use the full PC restore. For users who upgraded to Vista, this is a handy feature - thank you.

okay my laptop is a dell inspiron 1520, it has windows vista home premium, i want format everything except for vista, do i need a cd to format. also i have a drive called recovery it came like, and in it it has a tools folder and has a tool called pc restore, it says it will retore computer to the deafault factory settings and personal files willl be overwritten, im not sure if thats what i need because i want to start over but don't know if it will delete vista, plz help if you understood me
there's no such thing as deleting vista unless you purposely want to change it to a different os. what that cd will do is delete anything you've put into that laptop and restore it to factory settings. read your comment 'cause i happen to have the same laptop hahaha... well 1526

It only comes with Vista Business or Ultimate. You need to find some third party software to do a full computer backup.
