C'est absolument magnifique: Quelle maturité, quel phrasé, quelle beauté du son, vous avez vraiment touché le coeur de l'oeuvre. Vous transmettez une profonde passion, du pur "pathos" - comme disent certains -.
Wow, that was absolutely awesome, Stephane. You play the Cello, so beautifully, for one so young. Thank you so much for the friend invite. I am more than happy to accept and subscribe. Keep up the great work and God bless.
(English slang derived from the French "j'aime ca," in this case playing on the double meaning of a piece of music as a "jam" which you are "saw"ing out with the bow hand.)
I'm kind of in disbelief watching you play. This is a really incredible performance, and one of my favorite pieces to boot (dig the references to Art of Fugue). I'm also a Montrealer, so I guess it's only a matter of time before I get to see you play live.
wonderful wonderful ! at this age that you should play with so much soul:)) thank you for the invite, i was able to hear an absolutely wonderful performance!!-blessings
Great energy, expression, and tone. Only wish the pianist knew more how to accompany soloists. What would otherwise be a sensitive communication between soloists and accompanist unfortunately becomes a struggle for attention. This will force strain in even the best musician's performance. Otherwise, well-played!
Very clever, nicely elaborated, and you guys are in total harmony. It looks that you already have svelt technique, and you got the concept of this, knotty music-(kidding).
Thank you very much for posting, (it is always impressive to see young people taking onto this compound ideas). Keep us posted!!
BRAVO! I really enjoyed listening! You put lots of emotion into your solos, which shows that you are very passionate about what you do, keep up the good work!
Wow! I always wonder why I don't move like that when I play my instrument, but I guess I just don't feel the music. This would've been better if my stupid sister weren't listening to Justin Beiber and yelling at me to "stop listening to that stupid Mozart stuff" :P
I used to play this sonata (not near as good as you) long ago, and I know that although the first two movements are comfortable, the last one is hard. I remember, among other things, finding trouble in the phrasing of bars 16 and 17 (the ones with the trill), XD. Keep going the good work, you are just brilliant. I'm looking forward to hear the second sonata!
One of these day you should play with the Maestro Jose antonio Abreu's venezuelan sistem orchestra, were childrens plays directed by young people, and do an amazing job
You have a keen talent for shifting from strong to light touch in an instant. It's one I wish I could have developed when I was playing violin. Perhaps one day I will. It seems to me you perform a lot of Brahms' pieces. You're getting me more and more interested in his music. I know some of it, but not nearly enough. However, I do have a favorite (choral) piece by him: "Warum ist das Licht gegeben?" Maybe you're familiar with it?
