"dusty hard drives should not and mostly cannot cause a bsod". you can get many errors such as "irql_is_not_equal_or_less" "page fault in non paged area" etc etc. these codes massivly narrow the search for the problem. for me it was a power failiure. anyways it can and usually is in the cases ive heard went through is due to drivers. do not get x86 x64 as they have less updates. less updates = less happiness.
my dad got that but the irony of fixing it the hard drives were covered in dust and the repairman was laughing and we were laughing ps if u get this problem all u need to do is check if your hard drive is dusty if so clean it with a rag or scrub the dust off and u wont get this problem
don't forget that windows 7 is an OS, it can crash too you know, just like all other OS's, just because it's "7" doesn't mean it's the best and will never give you a BSOD.
you should analyze the .dmp file and use the -analyze parameter to see wtf was running in the stack, that'll point you to the problem.
