  • @MuhammadDerkaDerka preach on brother its all about who has their car set up better and the driver, i love domestic and imports both, so i wont knock either. if the civic had some more power it would have been closer, and also that fucking blazer is fast.I'm in the process of building me a honda civic trying to get about 700 + hp out of it, any advice on what to use.

  • @memphiskicksass first off fully build everything ... sleeve the block, go forged internals, huge fuel system , reworked tranny ... upgrade the cv axles for sure lol . id go with a b series engine with a modest t4 turbo setup ... twin scroll ball bearing turbo would be the best option but costly as fuck ... b16 or b18 gsr engine would best suit your build also . k series are nice but the b series has just as much potential in my opinion once you go forced induction but at a cheaper cost ...

  • The civic did good seeing as the cobra is making past 600hp vs the civic being 400hp. yea its lighter but the cobra has a huge hp advantage. And with the nitrous he has instant response. 400whp Honda can = 10's in the 1/4 mile. for a 400hp car h did great. a 400whp 3700lb car would be running high 11's and the cobra would of walked them badly.

  • The guy in the civic can easily up the boost if he wanted to. Plus seeing as he is running relatively low boost for that turbo while not straining the engine that much. His setup will last him for a good while along with the turbo setup as long as he has a good tune. He could probably daily drive on that boost level while if he was running a smaller turbo. He would be making the turbo work harder. I wouldn't even be surprised if he is making 400 on pump on this setup.

  • @pier456 That stock bottom end is his weak link though.

  • @bbrewer5 k20 stock longblock record is 842whp and that engine was making 500++whp for over a year, the guy finally pushed it and the engine gave up. If he had a fresh k20 i wouldn't be surprised if he made passed 900whp. k20 block isn't' weak.

  • Theirs a bunch of idiots in here. First off the civic never jumped. 2nd quit hating on the size of the turbo. it's called giving your car room to grow. Why waste money on getting a smaller turbo when you know your going to want more? I didn't' see any lag from the civic in those runs. The k20 block is strong enough to take past 700whp. The record holder had his car running for over a year. Street car.

  • @Sickassfords less weight don't matter much when u are ate a 200 hp disadvantage from a high roll, maybe atleast a 100 hp diff would be more understandable , and that's a stock 2.0 on 13 psi , not bad against a v8 on 12psi boost and spray , 3 very nice rides here !!! good racing .

  • @TheMugenboy yea your right themugenboy if there is a big hp difference one being lighter doesn't make a difference, the extra torque in a v8 makes up for the weight issue's. what i would like to see in the mustang is a custom cut cam that will keep pulling torque, it would take off a lot harder that way.

  • well im now in the tuner market and i have a mitsubishi galant 02 and i wanted to swap a 4g63 from the 99 eclipse and i want to make arount 450 500 hp but i want to stroke it to 2.4L with the bc kit and i havent found a turbo kit or upgrade kit that i like. i can pretty much do all the work myself except the stroker any ideas on where i should go?

  • being a honda driver myself, i like the si look too. but it being a fast car is not going to happen unless you go turbo. find a fbody or a factory turbo car.

  • Well that's the thing; He's got a T67 on a mildly worked 2.0L and he's not even pushing one bar of boost? The thing probably has tons of lag and an ultra peaky power curve, and for what? That turbo is good for over 2bar easy. He could've gone with a smaller turbo and had a way flatter, more useable curve, while still making 400 peak hp.

  • Yeah, a gt28r with a gt30 compressor wheel, or a true t4/t4. Those t3/t4 hybrids are shit. he could push oh, 1.2 bar out of those. and those turbos love the psi! You dont want the turbo to produce the ALL the power, build the engine and let to turbo work together with it..... any self respecting car enthusiast knows that.....
