jesus was a prophet. there is not a shred of first hand accounts of jesus in the bible. all the stories about him where written by people who never met him and 3o years after his death. which prompts me to think why is that the case? to me clearly whoever wrote the bible omitted the real stories about jesus because they didnt want us to know the real role of jesus. and islam branched off of christianity because they started with this false teaching of him being the son of god.

Islam speaks of a harsh punishment for the sinners in the fires of Hell.

Christians say Jesus died for our sins so we're forgiven.

I personally do not think Mel is Christ pre-incarnate. Based on how Jewish exegesis was done at the time, it's quite reasonable to conclude that Mel's genealogy, parentage, birth, death, etc, are unknown. The writer of Hebrews sees this similarity, and thus compares Mel to Jesus, which is why it says "like unto the Son of God."

The verse actually says "A son of man, which is a worm." This is said when Job is lamenting, so the words being said are poetic. In this context, "son of man" clearly refers to a normal human. Jesus was called "THE Son of Man", which refers to a prophecy in the book of Daniel, demonstrating that Jesus is the Messiah. You can't just rip verses out of context like that.

There's varying theories on this. Some think Melchizedek is a pre-incarnate Christ (i.e God became incarnate before Jesus). Others think he's a Christ-like person.

For the second theory...the Greek allows this interpretation: Melchizedek's parentage, birthday, death date and genealogy are UNKNOWN, which is why it says "without father, without discent, made like the Son."

Priests then usually had their parents and genealogy known. Melchizedek didn't. So this doesn't count against us.

I'm afraid you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. A fire gives off light and heat, and for as long as a fire exists, so do the light and heat it gives off. The substance of the fire, the light from the fire and the heat from the fire all make up a fully functional fire. Thus, they're all divine. BUT,

The light and heat are dependent on the fire for existence, and the fire MUST give off light and heat. Without the Father, there is no Son.

Keep in mind: when we say "God" we mean "divine." The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all divine, so they can all be justly said to be God. It's just that the Spirit and Son are generated from the Father. The three are in unity, just as, using the fire analogy, a fire cannot exist without giving off heat and light. Thus, ONE God (divine Being), consisting of three inseparable but ONTOLOGICALLY equal Persons.

1. The Father is greater than the Son because the Son is generated from the Father, like how light is generated from a fire. So, both are divine (God), but the Father is subordinately higher in authority than the Son.

2. Read the whole verse. The other man clearly didn't think Jesus was God. So Jesus is saying "Hey, think CAREFULLY about what you're saying! To call me good is to call me God. Don't say that unless you ACTUALLY believe it."

God says through the prophet Isaiah that he has been clear and not secretive; but the Lord God will send me (who is this "me"?) and his spirit.

I could spend all day however the Quran speaks of Mary's boy being sinless and only God can be sinless. Jesus claim to forgive sin and only God can forgive sin.

Is he God or unfit to be a prophet?

lets look at no.1 Does that mean that preists and saints are also of divine origin, on par with God also because they can forgive. Think harder.

If you do not agree with the above, then you must conclude that likewise as priests have supposedly been given the power of intercession, so has Jesus from God himself.

Allow me to explain the Trinity like this: God (YHWH) consists of three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God could be said to be like a fire. The Father is the fire, the Son is the light from the fire, and the Holy Spirit is the heat from the fire. Thus, the Son is generated (begotten) from the fire (the Father), and thus is called the Son, BUT can still be said to be divine. Hope that helps.

There's a difference between describing his characters and his OBJECT BEING! the same as the space point which apparently u didn't get.

I used the analogy of fire to describe the Trinity primarily to show you that the Trinity is not illogical, that it's at least possible.

Also, why Jesus was crucified is this: God is the Being deserving the greatest honor. Sin degrades God's honor, and the honor must be restored. God's proper response is to shame sinners (which is what hell is). But Jesus underwent a status degradation ritual (crucifixion) in our place, so we can be restored.

Before I can convince u that the Trinity is true, I've gotta convince u that the Trinity is @ least possible.

It's like this: ur dad has greater authority, so he deserves honor. When u disobey him, u dishonor him. The honor between u and him has gotta be restored. Ur not God, so u can't restore it. God's gotta restore it, so Jesus gets crucified (which is an "honor lowering" ritual) to bridge that honor, cuz ONLY God can do that.

Oh, and two more things: even though the Son and Holy Spirit are generated from the Father, They are still timeless along with the Father. Using my fire analogy...did you ever hear of a fire without light or heat? That's one understanding of the Trinity.

Also, you technically believe in a trinity yourself. Take space, for example. ONE in essence, but consisting of three (length, width and height).

Yes I believe in OBJECTIVE trinities, scientific and believable, but the space thing has nothing to do with your god analogy. You are DESCRIBI G space with 3 adjective or properties, but in your god theory, the 3 parts aren't adjectives, they are a PART of the trinity, it's like saying that space is made up of 3 levels of matter, 1 2 and 3 whatever, but the length width and height are characteristics of that 1 2 3 trinity. Also, I don't know how people can believe the Quaranic version of JESUS written 600 yrs after the actual facts and events, and yet do not believe the Biblical version of JESUS which was written by Jesus' Apostles and their diciples, which were written with in 50-60 yrs after the actual facts and events. So judge what version is more trustworthy the one written 600yrs after by a stranger to JESUS, or the one witen by JESUS' apostles and deciples.

Needed answer to end the debate: Is it more just for a judge to punish an innocent by-stander for the (alleged) rapist's sin therefore freeing the wrongdoer and burdening unjustly the innocent? Actually, Jesus is saying that "Before Abraham came into existence, I exist." Weird grammar, huh? Actually, the fact that Jesus says I am (present) shows eternality. He's not saying "I existed before Abraham existed." He's saying He is the Always Existing One, in a sense.
