  • It's ridiculous seeing kids listening to their emocore bs bands, thinking that they are Metal and that their emocore is brutal. They wouldn't know brutal if it bit them in their ass, digested it, and shit it down their throat with some acid involved. THIS is REAL Metal. 19 and listening to the REAL shit. {:-) NILE! FUCKING AWESOME BAND!!!!!!!!

  • I just discovered Nile not too long ago . I am a new fan !! I love this music !! MOSH PIT !!! Head banging -Whip-lash music !!

  • wrong album cover

  • It would be cool if the old religion of Egypt was adopted again (I wouldn't know the name for it) but it's like 90% muslim now

  • This is in my list of one of the greatest DM songs of all time. It's epic, heavy, fast, clean and brutal. My favourite Nile song <3

  • damn.. this is so good

  • @Nightksa1995 what's a "vedio" ? :S

  • As soon as i heard that intro i thought to myself: "some serious shit's about to go down"

  • @lokust9ine I'm gonna run outta space before I know it. Nooooo!!!!

Damn straight. Nile makes some fuckin awesome death metal. And they aren't a generic band. They sing; well, growl haha, about ancient egyptian mythology. Awesome theme if you ask me. Not many death metal bands sing about cool stuff like that.

  • as soon as we invent a time machine, i'm sending Nile back to ancient egypt. (but only if its back to the future rules so they can come back.)

  • What band could top this ? Holy shit. This is pure awesomeness. I`ve been listening to this for 4 years straight. When I want something brutal and intelligent, i visit Nile.

  • what happened to the sound??

  • The best song of that album... Crazy atmosphere, riffs are blows minds, perfect!

  • fucking massive ending

  • I WOULD NEVER EVER TRADE A NILE ALBUM FOR A WHACKY OVERRATED IPOD!

  • @Zrock210 The Legend of The Rent Is Way Hardcore isn't even that fast. It's about 240 bpm, this song is about 300bpm. Look up other songs by Nile or Behemoth, they play well over 240bpm.

  • @Aaronduhmoron It's not about 300bpm, are you crazy? Nile's fastest song is kafir, at 280 bpm. This song is really fast like a lot of their songs, but don't push it. And 240 bpm is respectable, even if George is faster it's still extremly fast...

  • Why do there have to be so many amazing metal bands???? I only have 42.8 gigs free on my iPod before I run out of space and I alrdy have 1,870 songs which is 15.2 gigs used up. Damn! I might need one of those 160 gig iPod classics.

And for the record, HAIL NILE!

  • @crofold i know how you feel. it's kinda crazy how much awesome metal there is out there --and to think of how much space is on a classic i-pod --like 64 gigs or something! you could fill up most of that with good music and never really have enough time to listen to them all! there just isn't enough time to listen to great metal bands, i mean like Really listen to the the albums, in this life!

  • @lokust9ine Oh hell yeah. There's an insane amount of awesome metal bands out there. Unfortunately there are also plenty shitty bands out there too. And I was commenting on an Iron Maiden video that we need more metal bands. I dunno... iPod's don't have that much space. The iPod Classic's 160 gbs and wow, even that couldn't hold every metal song there is. Haha yep! You'd never have enough time to listen to that. I have over 2200 songs and about 36gbs free. Photos take up ALOT of space.

  • @crofold Oh...and also All Hail Nile! There isn't any other death metal band like them and they fukkin RULE!

  • Comment removed

  • @ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 Dude... I posted that 4 months ago... I love metal, and when I listen to metal, I listen to alot of metal. 64GBs isn't enough space. That's what I was sayin. Ah. No, I don't use Frostwire or Limewire. I prefer Vuze, which is like the same thing. But how fast it downloads is dependent on how many seeds the file has. With Bittorrent you can force download, that's sweet. I'm on a budget. But I also take out music from the library.

  • @crofold I like guaranteed satisfying repetition, so I don't like changing to something I'm not familiar with. Frostwire works perfectly for me. I'm sure there are thousands of songs, I'd love to have on my iPod but that's not realistic since I'm poor.

  • @ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 Me too. No one said you gotta change. Oh, there are so many songs out there. But iPods just aren't built to store that many. Even the 160GB is pretty fuckin small compared to the volume of metal out there. I'm pretty poor too actually. That's why I like Vuze and the library.

  • @crofold 160 gigs if over 10,000 songs easily. There's almost no purpose in that. I have a little over 1000 songs on my ipod and I only personally listen to around 200.

What is "the library"? I know it's not a public library that you go to for research or checking out books.

  • @ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 Meh, to each his own. So far I'm making do with my iPod. Actually, I am talking about a public library. In Canada it might be different from other parts of the world but our libraries do loan CDs and DVDs as well as books. It wasn't always that way though. It's a pretty recent thing.

  • @crofold I haven't been to a public library in over 6 years, I don't libraries in America have that policy. The only place that I know of which sells Extreme Music CD's is FYI.

  • @ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 Ah. Why not? Yeah, I don't know either. I don't live in the states so... FYI? What kind of store is that, like HMV?

  • @crofold It doesn't interest me. It's a national "music" store with obscure items like video games, music, posters, and other accessories. Haven't been to one in over a year but I remember it pretty well.

  • @ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 Oh. Really? Might be one here in Canada then. Posters would be sick. I'm trying to metal my room up. Kinda the same, I don't visit HMV anymore, cause of my budget. I think I'll buy some CDs after my summer job.

  • egyptian music and death metal ftw llmll

  • 5:33 on is the greatest riff i've ever heard

  • @deathmetalben it's brutall.

  • i listened to this album when i go to sleep

  • the intro is from heaven

  • @Algolagnia666 Correction: The intro is from Egypt :P

  • Fuck, I've been listening to a lot of stoner doom recently and decided to listen to some old favourites...

There's too much good music out there, but not enough time to listen to it all :(

  • 0:49

  • some people call pop talent, some people call rap talent, some people call fucking disney rock talent, BUT THIS?!?!?! THIS IS TALENT.... Capitilized... T.A.L.E.N.T. talent buddy. im muslim and i love this shit! i fucking hate rap!

  • @romansoldierofhonor dude i have a friend who believes techno takes more talent than this type of thing, he thinks the double kick from the song the legend of the rent by here comes the kraken takes no talent because it doesnt involve any mixing. I was like WHAT THE FUCK !? if anything it takes more talent. To sum up i agree with you

  • @romansoldierofhonor

Talent for rap and pop being the person behind the computer audio engineering it all not the artist.

  • @romansoldierofhonor lol i thought you were a roman soldier? not many muslims in your profession eh?

  • @romansoldierofhonor dirty camelfucker :)

  • @SuicideFixated why the smiley face? you smiling to the thoughts of fucking a camel. you dirty gay beastiality faggot fuck. dont judge all muslims. yes there are quite a few crooked mulsims. fuck them. i supported the war in Iraq( because actually know the truth, unlike most american muslims that havent seen and actually witnessed how US soliders and true muslims are friends (allies). the Soldiers helped and protected innocent families. i was a Linguist in the 5th SF overseas.

  • @romansoldierofhonor RocknNRoooooool

  • @romansoldierofhonor we all hate rap bro, we all do...

  • it is the only band that makes me hit my fucking head one fucking wall.......NILE TILL THE DEATH

  • It's so tempting to just copy this...

  • its so heavy

  • filthy. in a very good way.

  • @finalresistance No one cares about the video. It's the music.

  • Hey dude, just in case no one has told you...........you have the wrong album cover.

  • "I am User-Maat-Re, Setep-en-Re!

    Sovereign of Sovereigns.

    Beloved of Amun.

    Chosen of Re.

I hath made manifest the grandeur of my empire,

to be worthy of thy legacy, O Seti, Great One."

    Nile Fucking Rocks

  • jazz on steroids

  • he has a double neck where the top neck is a fretless 11 string and the bottop neck is his standard setup

  • It is not fretless, it has scalloped frets but I know what you mean about the bends for sure.

  • @MerryMullet No, he has a fretless as well. Watch moar interviews.

  • mis respetos nile son una verga para componer

  • you relax and then you get surprised like OMG i didnt expect this. :O

  • believe it or not this one of there slow songs that is pretty fast

  • @TheMattTrivium I know!

He goes faster in "The Essential Salts" Nile Track!

  • SUPERIOR!

  • the drums are too quiet

  • I just realized that the double bass speed at 5:02 is faster than the double bass breakdown in the legend of the rent is way hardcore by here comes the kraken!

    EPIC!!!! XD

  • @Zrock210 bring your "breakdown" trash to another page

  • @ilikeeverything69 You do know I am complementing George Kollias' skills on the drums right?

  • title of this song looks like a subject of an email

  • @luki667 hahah like a spam message or somethin..

  • THE best outro EVER !!!!

  • @SHiNYYYYYYYYYYYYY Agreed!

  • goosebumps

  • in my opinion this is easily the greatest death metal song of all time. it has everything you could possibly want. soft opening, multiple heavy ass breakdowns, amazing solos, incredible lyrics and message, and its10 fucking minutes long. this is the most epic shit I have ever heard in my entire life.

  • @InfiniteGXT Fuck yeah dude! \m/

  • @InfiniteGXT 2RIGHT!!!!

  • @InfiniteGXT I don't think it's the greatest death metal song of all time, but I do think it's without a doubt one of the greatest.

  • @InfiniteGXT afuckinggree

I love this song, beats anything i have heard in my life

  • @InfiniteGXT

7:00 till the end is the most epic thing i've ever heard in any song .. The whole vibe behind it .. its freakin awesome :D

  • I don't like Nile..

But this is causing a change in my opinion.

  • anyone know the name of the insturment in the begining

  • @saucedrizzle Isturment ancient. Insturment existed before language, therefore no name for insturment..

  • @saucedrizzle Sorry, just messing with you. It is what is called a gong.

  • @saucedrizzle Sorry, just messing with you. It is what is called a gong.

  • at 00:48 they sad "Fuck intro lets get down to business"!

  • @Walkon93 lol alright thats good enough boys

  • Nile is the only band where the rhythm guitar is 100 times faster than the solo

  • @UpMyStand behemoth?

  • @UpMyStand arsis also

  • @UpMyStand Haha, so true! Especially on the majority of the songs on their Annihilation of the Wicked album. \m/

  • Love the solo in the end, Nile indeed an extraordinary Death Metal band, they master the crushing , hyper fast brutal sections as well as the slow, beautiful melodic "soft" sections demonstrated by the last part of this song, and everything in between.

  • Love the solo in the end, Nile indeed an extraordinary, they master the crushing , hyper fast brutal sections as wlel as the slow, melodic "soft" sections and everything in between.

  • i'm egyptain....FUCK YEAH

  • 0:53 WTF IS THAT PINCH HARMONIC!!

  • @kjn5991 thats a NILE pinch harmonic

  • This song is fucking sick :D

  • a fade out? really?

  • @InsertDeepLyrics Jupp, a fade out^^

  • 07:34 to 09:10 ... epic ...

  • this song was actually on annihilation of the wicked....not ithyphallic.

  • @VonHendrixTV The guy that posted the song apologized for the wrong album cover, read the info.

  • 7 people missed the thumbs up button

  • if the guy would actually sing this would be a kick ass song

  • @connorrehanfeaglasgo this is death metal, he growls

  • Fucking got goose-bumps at the end. I love this song!! <3

  • do you think that doublebass is fast? xD

  • nile is a egyptian legend!!!

  • This song redeemed Nile for me, like honestly, I never really liked the really dark and grungy sound that a lotta "death metal" bands have (old cryptopsy being an example)

    But this is just....FUCK

  • was always a favorite of mine.. and apparently several people feel the same way. the opening really sets the theme for the entire band really. i listen to it on a really hot day while driving.. and im stuck in traffic.. i pretend like im floating down the nile. then the metal kicks in and its like im riding a badass motorcycle through egypt..

  • I don't care care if this song just screws me up the butt. It's awesome.

  • Fuck, I don't know how you can make a song so unrelentingly badass for a full nine minutes, but they did it somehow

  • I listen this when I want to relax

  • 0:55 rollercoaster effect.

  • First song I heard, best song so far...(ok in their darkened shrine is the best album...ok no thats untrue, they just got toooo many good ones WTF)

  • the extra intro really kicks the ass.

  • One of the most epic Nile's songs for sure.

I prefer their early releases, find that the recent stuff sometimes lack of these dark, slow, accoustic ambiances that actually make the fast parts really brutal.

Yeah this one is fucking awesome, sick drumming from George !

  • acoustic intro = LEGEND

  • Intro is..just Wow!

And the whole shredding and blast beats! And growl!

    One word: Brutal!

  • "THOU HAST DONE NOTHING!"

I fucking love how it ends, hearing the words "thou hast done nothing" over and over again going lower each time, together with the epic apocolyptic music in the background. Just amazing.

  • this song gets me so pumped its crazy

  • hail nile

  • I feel fucked up sometimes for not liking BTBAM....or Black Dahlia. Or other new bands the large majority of my friends love so much. But none of them love Nile the way I do. They say it's "too dark" for their taste. I say .."Fuckin pussies." Then i realize (this might offend a few) that all new metal is for fuckin Pussies, who follow each other and never come up with anything new or original...too scared to wield the awesome unforgiving raw power Nile posesses.

  • @MrMacD069 I like it all. BTBAM is raw skill, sometimes it doesnt have the brutality that maybe it should but dont be hating on talent. Not to say you are

  • @Zachdudeio2 I agree, they do have massive skill , and you don't always have to be brutal....infact thats where i feel lots of bands go wrong, they all try to "out brutalize" each other. They forget what they are playing music for. Of course you have competition in music, you must compete. But when you focus so hard on keeping up with the times, keeping up with the bands in front of you, the competition, and not enough on the music itself you can really hear the lack of soul.

  • @MrMacD069 total fucking agreement. in order to really love death/black/grind or other more obscure bands, you have to love that twisted wickedness that comes complete. in order to love metal, you have to entertain the devil in your mind. and simply, children who enjoy glammy metalcore or anything with weak riffs and vocals cannot handle the dark.

  • @MrMacD069 THEY ARE FUCKIN PUSSYS, FUCK EMOS.

  • HAHAHA!!!!! At 0:18, and 0:34 I tensed up for a huge blast beat and guitar riff. I was like, "aww." :( LMFAO!!!!

  • @blacklegionairsoft1 then: 0:52 came for you...

  • CHUG CHUG CHUG CHUG

  • 5 dislikes to this song...

    anyone got 5 bullets?...

    Or a machete?

    ;]

  • @eGoXiLLuSTRo or a faraon's curse? D:

  • @galatonim LOL enter my mortuary! ;]

  • buckwizzle17, you have you accept everyone. You have to start a place.

im not looking like a metal dude, but i really fucking like metal, the most of the metal genre is nice.

And i was at the Nile concert at Roskilde Festival 2010! fucking nice moshpit and fucking nice wall of death, not just one time but twice =D

  • I played this song so many times it wore out the CD and I had to burn a new copy. Nile fucking owns!!!

  • Setep-en-re

  • any voers out there? i like everything about this song, but i almost gave it up when i heard his voice...

  • @ertekkiadgrinast covers*

  • i saw nile live :)

  • Fuck me! Yes.. This song is the best ive heard for years!

  • i love the middle eastern theme guitar, its pure genius!

  • 7:50 makes me really catch the vibe of awesomeness

  • i fucking love the solo at the end

  • SO LIKE THIS SONG!

  • Ok so people will hate what i'm going to say... I hate death metal. However! The intro to this song is amazing and some parts of the guitar is good which shows these guys have talent, but I don't understand how you can understand the lyrics and vocals?!?

  • @DancingDead02

Nobody should hate what you're saying - you're respecting the band, you just don't like the vocals which is perfectly understandable. I never used to like this vocal style but it really grew on me, now I prefer it to clean singing. Try to imagine this song with "normal" singing, though - it simply wouldn't sound right with the music. The vocals are incomprehendible, yes, but they just fit the music (or so I find).

  • @DancingDead02

(Youtube's character limit is, well, limiting!)

Also, for some songs, these vocals just make sense. Look at Sarcophagus: The narrator/poetic voice in it is some Lovecraftian horror who's just awakened from a long sleep. A nice, human voice with an American accent would hardly be as appropriate as the deep, inhuman growling Nile used instead. Anyway ,as I said - I came to like death metal vocals after hating them, perhaps you, in time, might do the same. :3

    Sorry for the tl;dr!

  • im waiting for the day that kolliases foot pedal will sound like one contiuous note lol

  • @jltl44 its coming lol :P

  • @jltl44 search for a guy named Ukri"Uge"Suvilehto. he is fucking awesome and Kollias himself has given him a note where George says:

    GEORGE KOLLIAS (NILE):

    "Ha ha ha ha ha..........

Man, this is so much fun.....this guy is unbelievable!

He is nailing every fucking song, NAILING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • @kjn5991 ive been subscribed to Uge for a while now...hes fucking beast ;D

  • @kjn5991

Where George saying this ? just asking.=)
