  • oh no a recall.....get a bus pass if you think no cars have recalls, chevy alone has 700 so.....ya some have died on other recalls, all media hype

  • Toyota, Pleeeease send all recalls to South-Africa, we don't mind driving non American cars.

  • if i hear bad economy one more time

  • I love my toyota!!

  • I like how the news "waits" till 6pm and "another" report to tell viewers what to do if their gas pedal gets stuck.

    shameful

  • I hope the U.S. government from America's long-term interest. If due to political purpose, Toyota and exclusive fulvio dobrich, America's to lose interest, for the world is on the confidence of the United States of America and the world market, the suspect that ultimately led to the American international status. Anyhow, want justice wins, such ability can bring all over the world, the future of the long-term prosperity. Between the advantages and disadvantages, it can be imagined.

  • America is strong, can accept the world should America, can accommodate the world mind. If you go on like this, from the enterprise's competition aside for American businesses, the future world competitiveness. Obama also because America has the world's bosom just as containing the President of the United States? My voice is very small, but hope to hear the U.S. government, maybe you think are wrong.

  • haha This smells of Government Motors meddling lol

  • For all the idiots that says TOYOTA is made in US and that is recall problem : why did you buy Toyota ?

Maybe you must go to japan and leak the japanese balls !!! You are not patriots !

  • what does purchasing a vehicle have to do with being a patriot?

i'm willing to bet that in North America, 99% of the clothing on peoples backs are not made in USA... better strip down naked and be a patriot!!! LOL.

hell, even my wrangler jeans say on the tag " USA Denim"... then on another tag... made in mexico.

Feldman Gas Augers say "Engineered in the USA"... made in china.

linking patriotism to pieces of metal and plastic... how stupid.

  • i'm not an import fan either, both my wife and i drive ford vehicles,

Her: 2001 Mustang GT, second owner, 82,000km's.

    Me: 2007 F-150, owned since new, 225,000km's.

we have them because we like them, not because of where they are made.

once the F-150 hits 300-325k i'll be trading it in on a brand new one again as it's a 'business' vehicle and i have no doubts they could run to 400k+ easily w/o major work.

  • hihihi hhoho Stupid name . At first TOYOTA BECAME NUMBER ONE with American parts , workers and american buyers ! If you have a Toyota then shut the fuck up or stop buying Toyota shit !Dumbass you are not smart thinking !

  • No toyota became number one by selling in other countries besides the US

the toyota's outside of the US are 100% japanese made

the number one seller in the US was GM

the number one seller in the world is toyota

  • I have a strong feeling that Toyota still doesn't know what the problem is. First they blame the floor mats, now another part, whats next. This is not a matter to start guessing over. They need to let their pride down and admit that they knew about this problem but were too concerned with selling cars as their number 1 priority. If I drove one of these toyotas affected I would get ride of it as ASAP, I cant gamble with my family's life.

  • The problem is an electronic problem. A weak magnetic pulse from cell phone or road sensor will cause full throttle effect.

The hall effect sensor picks up magnetic road sensor pulse. Take a magnet and place it near your gas pedal and see what happens. There is a magnetic strip inside that sits in front of the sensor. The void is where they magnetize the tapered metal strips. The metal part they are putting in looks like it will shield the hall effect sensor.

  • ALso car companies have to pass the governmet's test to start selling the cars. right? So why did the government allowed Toyota sell cars in the first place??? Because there were eventually no fuckin problems!! If they knew it andmake TOyota keep on selling. that means the government was trying to bring Toyota down.

  • OMG YOUR FUCKING RIGHT! ur an idiot dude. jesus christ listen to urself.

  • I mean, first of all, the fuckin part was made by an American manufacturing company!! Its NOT MADE IN JAPAN!!! Its like MADE IN USA!! Damn it!! TOyota has to ask AMerican manufacturing companines to make some of their parts in order to evade trade conflict. But that eventually lead this problem.

  • Why is it that only Toyota is being attacked or criticized? What about Ford or the GOVERNMENT'S COMPANY GM? Are their cars all clear? without any kind of accidental problems???????Think about that!!!! When Toyota becomes number 1 in America, suddenly this kind of

national movement that was triggered by the media occurrs!! I feel government's oppression.

  • Problem part was from company CTS Indiana. who knows if the engineering design problem or manufacture QC problem. I saw the most every auto makers had some kind of recalls.

  • Korean Car maker has better quality than japanese car makers.

Toyota knew about this problem ..they hid it from customers.

this is like a terrorist. act..killing youself and others..worst car maker in the world

  • Toyota take your crap and get out!

  • time to get a honda.

  • Everybody just need to relax. People have a better chance of winning the lottery than having a toyota that will have an issue. FYI, Ford and GM are using the same part for their vehicles that TOYOTA has voluntarly recall to insure their customers are safe!!!!!!

  • @rosioio

When a gas pedal sticks to the floor and threatens to turn it into a runaway rocket, I'd say that the legal implications of that situation are enough for Toyota to "voluntarily recall to ensure their customers are safe!"

Jesus Christ, man! We're not talking about a squeaky trunk lid or a broken air conditioner!

  • @rosioio

Toyota has changed the root cause of this fatal error three times so far. Be a fool if you like, and endanger your family members all you care to - but don't expect me to do so.

There's a very big lie buried here somewhere.

  • Hyundai my next car....Toyota....I don't trust in ur cars any more...

  • this is what happens when toyota has shitty americans making theyre parts, from that shithole company in indiana, if the gas pedal wasnt made by NP DENSO then its garbage, the vehicle doesnt randomly accelerate the shitty gas pedal doesnt return from its last initial position

  • i think no matter which automaker, drive by wire is just a bad idea.

  • U.S.-TOYOTA is not made in Japan . The cause is parts of U.S.-made.

  • American car makers jinxed Toyota!

  • AAHAHAHHAAHAHAHH toyota the number one car maker thats bull shit

  • bull shit? its a fact dumb fuck!

  • number one car maker would imply that they make the best cars, toyota's are shit cars that have no balls, plasticky interiors, gay designs and they barley ever last 7 years. The number one automaker doesn't design its cars to intentionally kill you by driving you into an intersection at 100mph

  • If it does happen, while hitting the brake put it in neutral and turn off the engine. Toyota will pay for the damage done to your engine.

  • CTS, American brake pedal maker is the one who provided to Toyota. Toyota could have got the parts from Japanese comany. Off course, CTS is blaming Toyota.

  • yes, but Honda and Mitsubishi use the same pedal and don't have any problems. The pedal is one theory, but I'm sure that there are other differences between the Japanese and American models besides the pedal. Also, Toyota has had some minor, no big deal problems with their cars such as the battery dieing do to the trunk light staying on. In this case of course, people just removed the bulb and it was fine. They just were unlucky that this time the problem was so severe.

  • again toyota is trying to dodge the issue, i believe this is a software problem and they ar e blaming on the pedal. f u toyota

  • Toyota doesn't have software problems.

  • Well, none that the U.S. Government was able to detect. Which doesn't really mean anything.
