That's a clean play. The runner has right of way, unless he actually impedes a defensive player from catching a batted ball. Once it has been touched by another fielder, the runner has no responsilibity to avoid the ball or the fielder if he stays in the basepaths. That catcher is just pissed because he got hit, and I've seen worse at that.

the catcher should stand on the top left hand corner of the plate and wait for the ball to come...as the ball comes slide foot backwords for him to slide into your foot slowing him down....drop down and tag....usually when the hit ur foot, if done right they will be unable to touch home before the tag

That's a clean play. The runner has right of way, unless he actually impedes a defensive player from catching a batted ball. Once it has been touched by another fielder, the runner has no responsilibity to avoid the ball or the fielder if he stays in the basepaths. That catcher is just pissed because he got hit, and I've seen worse at that.

the catcher should stand on the top left hand corner of the plate and wait for the ball to come...as the ball comes slide foot backwords for him to slide into your foot slowing him down....drop down and tag....usually when the hit ur foot, if done right they will be unable to touch home before the tag

That guy didn't even lay him out to well. In fact, he looked like he tried to get out of the way a little...If I was him I would have stepped into that with a full charge knowing damn well I was going to give him a hell of a hit. That runner has the right of way to knock that fucker on his ass for blocking the runner's path...Can block the plate, can't block the path...I always loved these moments, waiting for a catcher to fuck up like this and give him a hurtin he won't forget
