its ridiculous how much of the name "black country communion" you have to type before YouTube gets that you've got a good taste in music. No I don't wanna listen to black eye peas you shithead!
Glenn Hughes Rules! They are making music the way it used to be made....full of energy, depth, and dexterity. So much music these days is disposable.....but this music feels timeless!
glenn sings like chris cornel and bcc reminds me of- deep purple- and- zep- and everything great about music. joe sounds like paul rogers and plays like jimmy page. glenn is bad ass and jason in my new hero. bcc. i did know know much about any of these guys but i love this band.
Does remind me a lot of Soundgarden...everything from the riffs to the way Hughes' voice fades in at the beginning of verses, to the awesome Cornell-esque wailing. Those saying it sounds like Black Sabbath are right too...earlier Soundgarden sounds a lot like Sabbath anyway. I dug this quite a bit.
trapeze is the shit.....great band ...rip mel galley....glenn hughes the white stevie wonder....backstreet love and loser my 2 fav songs ....he stii rocks with b.c.c.....saw them this past summer...killer show....amazing musicians in their own right....keep rockin all....
Saw Glenn Hughes in Dallas in 1972 when he was in Trapeze. Do yourself a favor and BUY all Trapeze nusic you can get your hands on. I think he was at his best in Trapeze. Killer stuff. Still sounds awesome today.
Regarding all the comments about Glenn Hughes sounding like Chris Cornell, do yourself a favor and google or wiki him. Ever heard of Deep Purple, Black Sabbath?
@bassguitarded69 the first thing i thought when i heard this song was.. he sounds kinda like chris cornell on this track.. it actually reminded me a bit of Rusty Cage.. which is just fine.. 2 great singers.. i think it's great that Hughes is making great music again.
A lot of their songs remind me of Iron Maiden. Hughes sounds like Bruce Dickinson on some recordings, this riff is a perfect maiden riff, and the bridge is maiden-esque too. Unfortunately they don't do it as well as Maiden and Bonamossa's guitar playing gets stale when there's little variety in the songs.
how can anyone say "oh not as good as his dad" what a ridiculous statement , this a group of the finest musicians around and they are so fresh sounding in my opinion , a much needed band at the moment . :-)
the first time i heard black country comm. i thought soundgarden ...fantastic stuff...some purple ........going on too.....hughes is fantastic here.....
bcc are fantastic see them at high voltage 1hr set not enough.yeh they remind me of led zeppelin nothing wrong with that they wer the greatest rock band.and to be fair its hard for anyone to be expected to be as good as their dad but i think jason is a 1st class drummer its in his blood. keep it going bcc cant wait for more studio albums even alive cd
saw them tonight at leeds o2 acadamy, absolutly fantastic, glenn has great presence and plays a mean bass, jason not has good as his dad but still a great drummer, one of the best out there, derek does some great keyboards, and what can i say about joe!! he is a genius on the guitar, reminds me a bit of rory gallager, fantastic gig cant wait to see them again
These guys are f*cking amazing...saw them Saturday in Antwerp...not too big a crowd there, but it rocked BIGTIME! Glenn is a massive performer and superb vocalist, Derek played some insane keyboard, Jason's well...impressive, and Joe is the God of all Guitars :-)
Me and my mate were in HMV and they were playing this album. We thought it was him for a bit haha, had to ask behind the counter for the band name and that's why i'm here xD \,,/
@Iydraen Didn't even notice your comment! (I posted below that I thought the opening scream sounded like Cornell). Makes me feel better that I'm not alone in hearing the similarities.
