I may not be skating but my toes are tapping! I used to skate at the Aurora Skate Center (Aurora, IL) and they've had live organ music since they first opened in 1955 or 1956 ....
They STILL have LIVE organ music on Monday nights -- provided by Frank Pellico, organist also for the Balckhawks Hockey team.
@tempetiger It is! I have a Wurlitzer Style 165X (2/6, later incarnation of the Style "D" with more Tibia unification)...the pipes you see are the 16' metal diaphone...which will go in the chamber (behind the wood shades) eventually...
I am a big hammond fan. I spent hours ICE skating to live Hammond music. The rinks ahd As, Bs and Cs. I had an H112 till the power supply died. I hope to get another. I do appreciate what has been uplaoded. Please upload more. Your talent is really shows through.
That old Concorde really sound great and it's thanks to your abbilty to make it get up and rock. One of the best rink organs ever made, sold many of them, fixed many of them and now I have one in my living room!

@Hamaround Yeah, unfortunately that's kinda the case...there's one rink here by me that has one of my old X-66's, they use it every Thursday morning, which is nice...but that's all for Wisconsin. There are a couple of rinks in the Chicago area that have live organ music, but the number of sessions featuring a live organist have dwindled massively in just the last 5-10 years. Sad.
I would like to find a concorde with a cabinet leslie what a sound they put out

@dukesgal39 Yup, I know Frank and skate a Aurora now and then, not as often as I'd like, but that is one of the hottest X-66's I've ever played.

Looks like you are building a theatre pipe organ in the background. I can see the swell shades and an unenclosed rank of pipes. Is it a Wurlitzer?
