As you know well it is a traditionally Kurdish area though Saddam has pushed in Arabs oevr the years so now theer are more Arabs in teh city but not in teh villages which are predominantly Kurdish/Yezidi/Assyrian and Shabak

It is a traditionally Kurdish and Assyrian area, not arab. rabs have taken over because Saddam enocuraged teh arabisation fo all stratgice northern areas including this important city. Kurds weren't allowed to own land there under Saddam. This was by law!

I am Kurdish and I was born in Mosul and so were most fo my family!

My greatgreat grandfather was sentenced to prison in Diarbekir because he fought for independence of Bulgaria.

There a Kurd saved his life and helped him escape to Russia.
