  • 8600 box for 8500 graphics

  • lmao i remember i use to game with 256mb, i game with 4gb cards now.

  • lol its kinda funny he sais the 8800 ultra is a 800 dollar card.I wouldnt even buy a 8800 Ultra if I could find one for 50 bucks.Crazy how technology gets so outdated

  • @PsiloCybinDreamX 50bucks!!!!! where where where lol. actually for the performance thats really a good price but i think i'll stick with gtx 570 sli

  • How much is it?

  • @jaymanisraw dont even think of buying it i have it and it blows but i dont think u can really buy it anymore

  • how it looks does to make it faster! I stuck flames on my case as well as my 7600gt and i can play crysis now on the HIGHEST settings at 1080p!

  • @GT5Enthusiast LOLOLOLOL Lies. You might get like... 2 fps.

  • Even laptop have more Vram than this thing. 512MB.

  • @PirateKing1256 I hop that's dedicated memory we're talking about.

  • GREAT VIDEO BUT STOP TOUTCHING THE PCI PLUG IN THE OILS FROM UR HANDS RUIN THESE CARDS LOL

  • I have the 512 mb version xD still cant run crysis 2 but yes cod black ops

  • @beatdathaguy98 my dad has the 1GB version and crysis 2 lags on 800x600

  • @PCnitro1 1gb its at on geforce 8500

  • i need a 256 mb graphics card to use my hd pvr is this one good enough to use annyone here has experience with totalmedia extreme ?

  • what is its price

  • wheeee 16 shaders! woooo!

  • ahh memories

  • ONLY 256MB?

  • you idiot, you dont get a 2nd monitor when you buy a video card :|

  • my last rig didnt even run anything newer than UT2004. doom3 or quake 4 wouldnt even start. neither would CoD2..

  • This cards a little old though.

A HD 5770 would do many people good.

  • @MechaNintendoMast Lol.. Not. If you know how to handle the ATI drivers that suck. You might be able to use it. And if it doesn't bottleneck witht the CPU and mobo. As of now I choose the 9800GTX+ over the HD5770.

  • @MrNuun That post is old

I went and got a Gefore gtx 460 and I'm happy I did.

You are right though. Nvidia drivers rock.

  • @MechaNintendoMast That's the way to go mate :) I'd love to buy a GTX460.. Just gotta get sum money first.

  • Thanks for information

  • get a HD 5750 for $129 or HD 5770 for $159 and Live happy :D

  • Can these go in a windows vista Dell inspiron 530?

  • I have this card. It's alright, you can play new games on low detail and older games (* 2007-8 *) on medium / high. It's not bad for the price.

  • no you cant i dont think you can change the laptop graphics card

  • what?!! my 8500 gt's max res is only 1024? why? is it because of that xfx thing? sorry ima noob...

  • @BlackGhost574

Monitors are the ones that determine the resolution you see, not the card. You probably got a 15-inch monitor, which usually goes at 1024x768, maximum.

  • @BlackGhost574 it's because your monitor resolution.

  • I got the eVGA version for my friend's birthday. He's so excited now that he can finally play Doom 3 and L4D, upgrading from a 7100.

  • Don't bad talk a card like this. put a good cooler on it and you will be playing crysis on high! and maybe some OC too.

  • Anyone considering buying this don't. It was ok in 2007 when the freakin 8600gt was even over $100 but in today's market there is no need to buy this card, spend like $20 more and get something MUCH better.

  • fuck this card i used this card and it fucking fried two years later lol.

  • lol the 8000 series cards are known for overheating problems i know i have the 8200m g card

  • oh yeah I that card blow up today

  • dunno what he's reviewing works shit on vista and I dont use that term lightly

  • I got XFX GeForce 8600 GT

and i can play Cod4 On high and Far cry 2 on high so it is not bad

  • Moron, this video is over 2 years old.

  • even back in the day it was a piece of shit

  • nice card.. i use it and i am happy that i can finaly run counter strike and Left 4 dead

  • someone help i orderd a asus 22'' with a res of 1680 wilkl my nvida 9500 run it

  • Is XFX the same as Nvidia?

  • My computer is a ABM2N-LA is this compatible

  • I have this one,I play COD4 whit great grapgics

  • ok 24 gigs is poss on a server and for the ppl that say 4 gihs is ok for vista yes it but i went from 4 to 6 to 8 gigs on my pc and i noticed a bigggggg diff on my 64 bit vista comp

and back to the 24 gig lol in a desk top no not poss well yes and no but u wouldn't be able to use 24 gigs with vista os now with a server os yes it point less 16 will do but just a wast of money

  • ok, people. Please stop posting comments like you know about computers and think you know what your talking about because all your doing is making yourself look like a dumbass and just setting you up for multiple flame replies.

  • lol... ha ha ha

  • varunvsharry your evga gtx 295 is the best nvida graphics card out there so yes your gtx 295 is better than the 8500

  • i hav got a

    intel core17 920 @ 2.8ghz

    8gb ddr3 ram

    evga gtx 295 graphic card...

is 8500gt better than my card..? :)

  • your evga gtx 295 is the top of the line graphics card its the best nvida card out there so yes it is better than 8500

  • no this card will pown ur ur card allt eh way like wow big time...hahaha lol

  • No you dumbass. GTX 295 is fucking shit. And seriously 8GB of ram? Time to upgrade n00b.

  • seriously my 24GB RAM could rape his pesky little 8 =D

  • first: 24gb is an imposable amount of ram

second: You don't need 24gb of ram since only like 4gb will actually be use and the other 20gb are just there useless.

third: If you have vista, it only supports up to 4 gb of ram for the 36 bit and 8gb for the 64 bit.

  • 24 GB is possible dumbass you know nothing about computers

  • well maybe if it is fucking possible it would be just a waist of ram because a computer won't fucking even need more than 4-6.

  • @WhatsMyGT

    only on x58 mobos

  • @WhatsMyGT not on allot of boards... only i7 9xx

  • ur an idiot it took us less than 10 years to get from 16mb to 16gb of ram besides things will be more demanding in the future and 24gb will be needed

  • maybe in the future when vista3 comes out (:P) but not now.

  • vista sp3 lol no way maby windows 7 sp3

  • look at the macpro noob

  • @Licardo7 i have 192gb ram

  • @Licardo7 Failed, Idc that this was a year ago, I'm still facedesking.

  • really????? 8 gigs is overkill all you need is 4-6. and the gtx 280 is just about perfect, no games out right now need its capabilities, but its powerful, i don't know what shit your doing on your computer that you need more than 8 gigs of ram and one of the best graphics card in the world unless your just rich and your parents get you whatever you want.

  • fuck off lol

  • no but a ATI HD 4850 X2 is ....

  • how much cost?

  • Hahaha. I hope you're not serious since GTX 295 is the king of videocards right now.

  • No I'm serious. Don't tell me you installed that crap into your PC too? The 8500 maybe a little overpriced, but it will still last many years and compete with the next gen VG's without one single problem. I'm telling guys, this is the ultimate shit! Get it now, you won't regret it.

And just to tell it once more. 8500 GT > GTX 295. I mean COME ON. Isn't it obvious? The BIGGER the number the BETTER. M'kay.

  • wtf dude, are you fucking serious. No way in any dimension is the 8500 GT better than the GTX 295. Your a dumbass if you think thebigger the number the better. In some cases this is true but not so much about this one.

for example. Is an nVidia 6150 card better than an ATI 4870? the answer is NO, the ATI 4870 is a monster on games wile the 6150 can barlyplay half life2 on low. Also like the GTX 295 is fucking god compared to a card like the 8500 gt.

  • Okay, maybe I went a little bit too far. Yes I was being sarcastic and I was joking the whole time. I hope anyone didn't take advice from my previous comments. Haha xD

  • lol, if some one did follow your advice they would have made a very bad decision.

  • i've got a

duo core 2.5 runs @ 2.5 gHz each

    2G Ram

    and this video card

i could only run new games at medium settings

i want to buy a new gfx card

    what can u suggest?

is 8800gt enough to play games at max with my computer specs?

  • would this card play aoe 3 om max settings pefectly pls reply

  • i have this 1GB garphics card and i can play

C&C3 tibirum wars and kanes wrath

in normal high settings with no problems,

    and i play

medal of honor: airborne maxed out with about 30-52FPS ,

and any valve games maxed with no problems.

  • might aswell get a 8600 gts

  • if i only have 448 RAM can i still put this card in and it'll run games?

  • Lol, the ram's going to hold you back

  • not a chance

  • can i have that?

  • i have it

it's integrated in my HP pavilion ummm it's ok but not that good i thing i'm gonna change it this summer

  • what kind of reviewer is he? i mean he just saying that this card is excelent and blah blah. whats the comparison with other cards, whats the price/performance rate, are there any benchmarks? you missing alot

  • Lol, yeah a few other vids as well... I guess we'll have to read online

  • ive got the NVIDIA 8500gt 1gb DDR2. playing Dawn of War: Dark Crusade i get 62fps (idle) and 12-32 (combat situation) barely playable. definately gonna upgrade soon

  • wow that things a relic

  • "Get in there and play some of those direct x 10 games" could someone please tell me one direct X 10 game you could play with this card not all on lowest settings?

  • fsx

  • all games that support DX10

  • I play Dawn of War: Dark Crusade on all max settings. NVIDIA GeForce 8500gt 1gb DDR2. i doesnt play Crysis demo at more than 3fps though.

  • yeah get a 9600gt you can find for around 60-70 bucks and will easily perform 4 times better if not more

  • you can't go more than 3 FPS? weird, my suckish 8400GS can play it but not on all out of course haha about low-medium settings :]

  • lol. when you play crysis demo put everything to low, and 800x600 pixels. if your monitor doesnt support 800x600 then your fucked.

I get like 20-30fps, which is good enough

  • this card suckssss i have it too but i bought hd 4830 and i can play now every thing max ( not crysis ) xD fuck of 8500 gt

  • well please tell me how much the 4830 cost and compare it to this 50$ card.

    I got just a 9800GTX+ XXX edition BTW =P

  • LOL ZD man i got geforce 9500GT and i maxed out crysis lol

    OMFG

  • aha perhaps on 640x480 ;) and high ;))))

So dont tell me that you max out crysis with an 9500 gt ;) perhaps on res 640x480 ....(And on XP)

  • not with 640x480 with 1027x768

  • Aha On Super Low?

  • LOOOOOOL ultra high dude ultra wtf u think im leing

  • OK then " Ultra high " and in 10 Fps ;)

  • lolll on 25FPS

  • There is no Ulta High, just Very High. But I can imagine it getting those results on 1024x768.

  • ahahhaa show me a video ;)

in the video show me that you have 1024.768 and every thging very high and sow me with fraps how much fps you get ;)

  • Can i play L4D with my 256mb graphic card ?

  • Comment removed

  • yes!

  • yeah probably on lowest settings and lowest res...But still it don't look too bad

  • old card, but very good. Quality/price, the best choice.i got this card, and working great. of course isn't the best...but cheap, and worth to buy...

  • Yep. I had mine for fun, and WOW this thing OC's like a champ. I got like... 300 Mhz up on Mem and Core. O_O

    Pretty nice card.

  • i overclocked my core up to 750, but the memory is less cooperative. using nTune, ive only got memory up to 350. what did you do to Oc your memory?

  • I use EVGA tuner, it works great. You can find it on like the utilities section of their downloads.

  • My friend's spare pc has one of these... can't even play L4D on lowest settings on 800X600 without lagging.

TF2 must run in DX8 mode just to make it "playable."

  • you're funny.i have this card (512 mb) and i play cs:s (uses the same game engine with l4d) with almost full graphics on 1280x1024 and i have 45-60 fps.

  • L4D uses a far newer version of the source engine, it has been updated several times since CS:S way back in 2004.

    Performance is not the same.

  • hey i play 1.6 and source at 100fps hahaha

  • as if youd buy this for full on gaming

  • lololol Randys like YAAA GIMME ONE!

  • i love logan.. he makes the shittiest graphics card buyable.. if thats even a word

  • lol i love the end yehhhhhh i like i care funny shit all this gpu shit all bullshit to me it fuking anyoing but i'm grad there some people in this world likes to helps people like me with this problem .......

  • no es para extreme gaming pero es muy buena la graphics card

  • Its ok for gaming it runs hd games, well atleast for me. But i would buy a new one if i wsent afraid of screwing up my computer by replacing the chip

  • this is NOT for gaming

  • What is the performance difference between this card and the same model without cooling fan?

  • yeah good question

  • that thing looks sik now i finally could play my games

  • Yeah randy is a good guy WTF!! xD!\wel i'm gonna get it, try to get it, HOPFULLYYY

  • i need to buy Ge-force FX 5700 for my rakion

  • ha get the 9600 GT OC its sick (i have one)

  • IT IS THE MOST FUCKED CARD OF THE WORLD!!!! Warcraft 3 is running on max graphik just 30 fps!!!! T.T

  • 3:22 - 3:33

  • is it good for gaming? like on line games or whatever?? also is it a pci-e slot?

  • depends on what game you talking about

  • I intend to buy Radeon HD 4870

  • dont man it is very very VERY hot.

    buy a gtx 260 core 216 it's 260 bucks and it owns!!

gtx260 is my other option, but it is some 50€/$ more expensive. :P

  • this card is a piece of shit

  • hhahahaha randy is funny as heck

  • can u play fsx on that card?

  • You're an idiot.

  • You are piece of shit not 8500GT :D :D :D :) ;)

  • I thought it has 512MB. That's why FarCry 2 has very much lag.

  • The memory doesn't mean anything unless you running larger resolutions.

  • Well, it does mean something. I mean the AA relies strongly on the VGA card RAM.

  • Sure its shit if you try to play Crysis and shit like that, but it will play games like World of warcraft, Counter Strike, and COD4

  • and cod4 is the only game i really wanna play lol gettin a comp wiv this card for DIRT CHEAP!!!!!

  • i have 8500GT

it is a piece of shit.

  • i agree with you its really a piece of shit

  • U need at least gddr3 to play the games these days

  • no affence but sounds like a shitty card.... MY OPINION GET ASUS 8500 GT!!! IT ROCKS!!!

    600 MHRZ CORE CLOCK

    1400 MHRZ MEMORY CLOCK

    256 MB 128 bit

KICK ASS AND LOW COST CARD!!! bout $70

  • Is it like a video card that a graphics card?

    What it cost in mexico?

This 5 * better your video

    is for XP ?

  • its for vista xp also i think it costs 49$ in canada and usa its not a expencive card i suggest you to buy a 9800 gt OC ddr3512mb

  • Ive got XfX Geforce 8400 gs, PLEASE TELL ME IF ITS GOOD!!!

  • it ain't good....=(

  • Even the 8500GT isn't good at all. The absolute minimum for gaming is an 8600GT. Doesn't cost that much either.

  • it can be any card lol, ppl still play sega games, like me

  • Yes, I understand. But if you're going to be a serious gamer, the 8600GT is the minimum. That's all that I wanted to say.
