  • great, now i need 700 bux for a new amp......

  • does anyone no wat this song hes playin is called i just really want to no

  • @sammas9915 He's playing his variation of Christina Aguliera's "Beatiful".

  • im trying to wrap my mind around wut he just played. it reminded me of a hendrix type thing but it was way to perfected and there were some country licks in there. does anybody know who plays like that besides him so i can check them out?

  • @KMAC6013 I thought it is Little wing by Hendrix... but who knows :-))

  • i realy like thsi guys vibe...a lot of you modern guitarists need to take notes on this...the phrasing is just stunning

  • Wow. Im amazed by the player AND the sounds out of this amp. Really impressed. Good job, guys!

  • What's the reliability like? I have heard they breakdown sometimes because the tubes get too hot and cook the electronics! Any truth in this?

  • @ianrkav I've never heard of a case where the tubes actually "cook" any electronics on the amp. Certainly I have heard of tubes failing but you should always have your amp biased and the tubes checked out by a local amp guy. We also put a 90 day warranty on our tubes which is something that hardly any other manufacturer will do.

  • @line6movies Ok thanks for that. It was just a rumour I heard, probably no truth in it. I quite like the amp and just wanted to be sure you know:-)

  • what kinda tele is that? This guy has soul!

  • @guitarsteve6190 It's a custom Linhof guitar.

  • @guitarsteve6190 Is Richard Fortus from the new line up of Guns N' Roses!!!

  • If you are in a cover band or just need an amp that does everything OK, this is the amp for you. For tone purists, who need REAL good tone, look else where. You'll need a real tube amp or an Axe FX.

  • @nickguitarsw We appreciate everyone's thoughts, since sound is very subjective it is really based on what each individual enjoys, but just wanted to suggest for you that you might check out the new DT50. You might find that suits your style better. Thanks.

  • @line6movies I own your Spider Valve MKI 112 and let me tell you, sounds better than many "true" all valve amps out there. Tone is subjective, yes, but it has its limits as well. If it sounds good, then it sounds good, easy as that. The problem comes when people expects your line 6 amps to sound like a Mesa or a Bogner, when these spider vavle amps have their own tone, their own spirit. I'm in love with mine's tone. Thanks line 6!

  • @nightslayer500 their is the Steve vai that covers some of this .., look up a song called little wing bye Steve vai not the Jimmy version the Steve vai one

  • I can't find any bands that play this style of music :( all the songs I recall, I cant remember the names of the band who plays it. sad this is that I want to start playing this style, and it really bugs me that I can't remember those bands D: anyone want to help me out so I can get started? :D

  • Anyone knows where i can find one of these tee shirts ? I got that amp, it litterally ROCKS !

  • Hello Richard, can i get a solo album from you?

I like your wisdom and playing.

  • Toll... ich hätte gerne ein Soloalbum von Richard Fortus. Da höre ich Herz, kein Lärm.

  • I know the purpose of this is to defeat the need for pedals, but im a die hard pedal user who needs a good versitile tube amp.

How does this amp react with pedals? Boost, Distortion, Mod, ect.

  • @sonicsmainman1 It does great with stand alone pedals but it really depends on what you want to achieve. I'd suggest using any distortion pedals in front of the amp and putting any kind of mods, delays, reverbs in the FX loop. That should work fine.

  • @sonicsmainman1 If you are a die hard for pedals, you are looking at the wrong tube amp. Check out the Peavey Valveking 212.

  • @sonicsmainman1 Its the wrong amp for you if youre going to use pedals, it defeats the object of having an amp with it all built in. DONT bother with a valveking, they suck, for thrash metal 14 year olds only. If youre going to gig get a laney gh50L.

  • Hey Line 6, LOVE this amp, especially once you know how to open this thing's sound up with digital delay :). But I must ask...can you recall the settings for tape echo and the compression? I really want this tone, but both effects are too complex for me, and I thought since you guys gave the exact settings for Isao, you would share them here so everyone can see it :). Thanks.

  • @LeggoMaEggo17 Hi, below are the settings. Thanks.

    Drive - 11 o'clock

    Bass - 12 o'clock

    Mid - 10 o'clock

    Treble - 2 o'clock

    Reverb - 9 o'clock

  • @line6movies when my spider valve shows at my door in the coming week or two im totally setting this!!! thanks a bunch

  • what tele is that??? I love the sound!!!

  • This guy is awesome

  • Comment removed

  • @line6movies by raising the level you meen what??

  • @hackerwacker4 The level of the amp model you are using.

  • @line6movies whats the chan volume have to do with anything cause i dont here a diff any u put it, i just mess with the master

  • @hackerwacker4 The Channel Volume raises the level of the particular amp model you are using within that patch while the Master Volume is global and will drive the power amp section of your amp creating more gain and more global volume.

  • Holy shit,

the tone is the definition of awesome.

    Anybody know the settings?!

    Line 6, help!

  • @sycomycole Here's the full settings.

    i want that amp!!

    thumbs up for this amp!!

  • way better soloing than dj ashba

  • wow..............

  • Can someone please tell me what compressor pedal he uses , all its says is red comp !! Also besides the compressor and tape delay is he using any other effects ?? The Tele sounds heavenly !!

  • @slash129 hi there dude! the compressor is installed in the amp. it is a digital version of the MXR compressor. Line6 style that is why it's called Red Comp

And no other effects which can be seen from the LEDs activated on the amp

  • AWESOME.....

  • hope he's not improvising

  • @vincent649 I wrote an E-Mail to Richard and he told me that he only improvised!

Some of the licks are from his standard Solo on Live gigs (beautiful cover aguilera)

  • Does anyone know what these settings would be on a POD xt???

I want this sound on both!!! SV and POD

    Yiiiiiiii Haaaaaaah :)))

  • ....Whatchoogunnado????...

  • u stole izzy hairstyle

  • Is this amp loud enough to do a small gig without using i mic. 150 people max.

  • @RWC5150 I got one.. and hell yeah!

    crazy loud 40 watt

  • @RWC5150 dude i tell ya...HELL YES it's loud enough

  • can i steel your style?

  • anybody have a tab for this?

  • this one is so beautiful :)

  • he's a genius

one of the most musical guitar players, that's for sure

and the sound is sick as well

  • I think fortus is too good for axl and his karaoke tribute band lol.

  • how the hell is he only the rhythm guitarist for Guns N' roses? Hes way better than DJ AShba by frggin miles!

  • @GNRrulz40 My thoughts exactly...

  • The intro to the Beautiful solo in 2006-2007!

  • What microphones are used in this video?

  • Looks like a Royer 121 on the left and a Sennheiser md409 on the right.

  • @a1gold174 All samples recorded using a Royer® R-121 microphone (on-axis) and a Sennheiser® e906 microphone (slightly off-axis) simultaneously. They were run through two Brent Averill Avedis™ 1122 mic preamps into Pro Tools® LE.

  • Thanks for posting the settings!

  • If someone knows how to play that and do an instruction, he's god to me!!!

    I need to learn that!!!!!

  • *from

  • it sounds like wild horses form rolling stones, I'm right ?

  • He uses the pickup selector, the volume knob, the pick and just fingers on notes and open chords to get great feeling and phrasing. There is more to it than just fast shredding. I nominate this for "best tone" in a youtube video. regarding the amp though, sounds great. Is there a big diff between the old SV and the new SV? what a badass this guy is. one more listen.

  • @thebaddancers There is a huge difference btw. the mki and mkii.

the mkii has more preamp models and more effects (even a lot more after the fx-infusion)

but the most distinguishing feature of the mkii is the DEEP-FX editing.

you can not only choose an effect and give it an amount in the sound....you can now go really deep into it and give it the EXACT settings it shall have (sens, mix, routing, control, depth, bass, mid, m/s and so on).

    AWESOME AMP!!!!!

  • saw him play with guns a couple weeks back, he was crazzzzy and i got this amp too i love it

  • Here's the full settings.

    Drive - 11 o'clock

    Bass - 12 o'clock

    Mid - 10 o'clock

    Treble - 2 o'clock

    Chan Vol - 9 o'clock

    Reverb - 9 o'clock

  • @line6movies I just purchased a pod studio ux1 unit, do you know if there is a preset tone or a combination of effects in pod farm that would produce a similar tone to this

  • @invisiblevolcom Yes. POD Farm comes with a great collection of amps out of the box and you can always purchase additional model packs to get even more.

  • @line6movies but these are the sound-settings BEFORE the FX Infusion, right?

    So what's it now???

  • @Marshall2603 The settings will remain the same. FX Infusion just adds more effects. Thanks.

  • @line6movies

sorry man but that is not true!!! after the update more gain-power is sent to the tubes...so at least the gain changes...and as we all know...the more volume...the more basses and highs evolve!

that was a comment from scoot waara at line6 and also quoted on vettaville

    see here: vettaville.nl

  • Red Comp Routing - Pre Level - 86 percent Sens - 27 percent Tape Echo Routing - Post Mix - 38 percent Treble - 68 percent Bass - 20 percent Fdbk - 13 percent Time - 111 ms
  • One of my favorite guitar players... Richard Fortus rocks!

  • One of my favorites too!!

  • Guns N' Roses Guitar player since 2002

  • @KidnapRocks ur point

  • I'm with Monkeyemmo on this one... Does anyone have access to the settings used for the EQ as well as the Red Comp and Tape Echo in this video clip? The tone is wonderful.

  • Can you please post the amp settings for this tone, I know it says it using the the class A model with comp and tape echo but what are the complete settings

    Regards

    Karl

  • amazing....

  • ~he is full of feel n emotions ..just amazing \m/

  • ~loved it

  • Thats amzing sound! the total control of the guitar and strings

  • this dude is amazing! beautiful feel, and soulful licks.

I'm totally getting one of these amps (2X12), but my weapon of choice will be an N4 Vintage (and a Strat later on).

  • I'm SURE the Royer helps with the high end junk.

  • He's redonkulously good.

  • this guy is really deamn bitch good

  • I wanted an SV before but now I'm really sold with that new Class A model. It sounds amazing.

  • I think this guy could make a string attached to a campbell's soup can sound good! (but I'm sure the amp helped some).

    :-)

  • which tele is this?

  • It's a custom Linhof guitar.

  • Thats crazy 2 humbuckers on a custom tele, crazyy bruh. Sounds nice

  • What kind of neck pickup is that? A half in-phase, half out-of-phase humbucker?

  • @Nikola85ZgCRO It's a Linhof tele. The neck pickup is Lindy Fralin's version of a 70's fender/Seth Lover humbucker. Lindy also made the bridge pickup. I own quite a few vintage tele's (including a '51 Nocaster), this is the best sounding tele I've ever played. Oh, and thanks for all the nice comments!- 4tus

  • that doesnt sound digital

  • sounds really good !

    relaxing ^^

  • awesome!!!

  • thats just awesome, great player too

  • This sounds amazing !!!!!!
