Its a better platform to build off of. Much better traction control system, better engine design with the HO4 engine, etc.... Also, lets see some videos of this V8.

I was looking at a mitsubishi eclipse the other day (1993). The only thiing i didn't like about it was how it had a short shifter. I like a nice loose gear shift. So my question is...can a mechanic take a short shifter out and lengthen the "H" that the gear shift sits on, and install a regular shifter? or will that be impossible and/or way too much money. And if you have a price in mind...say what you think.

Okay, you're comment is alittle confusing but I will try to explain to how i perceive it.

Yes a short shifter can easily be installed and removed. The |-|-| style isnt changed, there is merely a bend in the shifter so it acts as though there it were shaped like this |/|/ so the shift just seems shorter, but there are cut gears that actually have the same length. Also you can get shift knobs of different lengths or adjustible ones. Also the short shifter setup does not change the gear ratios

@McOrca09 The one and only upside of paddle shifters is that you lose no torque to the wheels while shifting. For everything else they suck ass, unless it's a dual clutch, but even then they are limited for modification because they can't handle too much torque.

In short, unless you're talking about the likes of Veyron or an SLR McLaren, paddle shifters suck ass.
