  • Who are the f#%kers disliked this video

  • I come here to watch the scene, don't know the language but beautiful. Then I scroll down and I see people comparing. Yes its obvious Shobana did the best performance. No need to get excited and say it 1000 times. Get on with it.

  • Can everyone just stop hating, saying the malayalam version was better or the telegu version was better or the tamil version was better....]

Just enjoy the film and admire all the versions as i think they all did well

  • She is so cute that even in horror scene , she looks pretty !!!!

  • shobhana's acting is always good. she is natural and lively. All the actors who acted as Ganga have done well in their own way.

  • shobana is superb

  • i have added subs/captions for the tamil part. you can enable the captions. sorry i'm not very familiar with malayalam.

  • There was a bengali remake as well and it had the same scene.

  • It is shobana & others fall faaaar behind . Pl note that shobana had no rollmodel though she was to others .

  • Shobana is the best.. others are dont deserve a comment even

  • @vnsthliprm01 can you stop being a hater ...

    the others did good too

  • in series

    1st sobhana

    2nd soundarya

    they done well remaining nothing

    jyothika nd vidya nothing

  • 1. malayalam

    2. hindi(they didn't make it commercial i agree its not like orignal but done justice to the story)

    3. kannada

    4.tamil

  • wonder what the bed is made of .,,.,carbon fiber? :D

  • amazing! hats off to Shobhana. Vidya, Soundarya and Jyotika don't get anywhere near her boots!

  • I guess being a National Award winner for best actress Shobana is clearly a cut above the rest. She, unlike Jyothika, Soundarya, Vidya or that bengali actress, did not have a frame of reference or source of inspiration for her performance. It was thoroughly original. As for talent, well, if someone can garner a second national award for Best Actress after a 10 year break with her comeback movie, THAT is talent beyond denial and Shobana did it with Mitr My Friend.

  • yeah abt havin a no source n being original with her talent is 100% true. vidya was lame...though jythika was scarriest and i dunno abt the other actress, ipersonally didnt think she was scarry or a good dancer!

  • Thank you. I personally felt Vidya looked more tired than scary. Soundarya (Kannada) looked uncannily cute instead of scary. In that manner, Jyothika did look the scariest.

  • The dancers' name from the four movies are Chandramukhi, Nagavalli (Apthamitra), Manjholikha (Bhool bhulaiya), ???? (Manichitrathazhu)..can i knw wats the name of d dancer in Manichitrathazhu?

  • its nagavalli

  • special effect do not compensate for acting talent, shobana acts wonderfully in this film , although i think vidya is a gd actress( i'm not saying this cos i'm biased btw, cos vidya comes from the same community as me),any performance can not hold a candle to shobanas

  • Special effects are silly. People who do not have any acting talent need them to compensate for their inability. Vidya Balan cannot hold a candle to Shobhana when it comes to acting.

Only brainless people are unable to appreciate excellent acting and get carried away by special effects.

  • pera matte???

  • totally soundarya performance is gr8 in 3 films

  • shobana is nice...bt nt as soundarya

bt her performance in song [she danced well]

  • I feel this scene is more good in apthamitra...

    I feared wid soundarya's performance...

jyothika is overreactor wid artificial lights...

    so soundarya is perfect..

  • Soundarya cannot come close to Shobhana when in talent, both dancing and acting. Telugu & Tamil actors are loud, noisy and they overact. They are not subtle, talented and realistic like Malayalam actors. People who are used to cheap, loud Telugu, Tamil and Hindi movies don't have the brains to appreciate Malayalam movies and are biased against Malayalam movies.

  • The original script was written by Madhu Muttam for the classic 'Manichithrathazhu' in 1993.. But later versions of tamil, kannada and telugu had some scenes remade from a commercial malyalam movie 'Aaram Thampuran' (might be to add some masalas :-) )..

Wait and see what ingredients do Priyadarshan will put in his hindi version of Manichithrathazhu - 'Bhool Bhulaiya'

  • hi,

Can you give name who wrote the original script. Mahnichitrathazhu , apthamitra or chandramukhi all were good.

  • Madhu Muttam, says Wikipedia.
