  • kittyhawks? really?

  • i wish they could still use those p40's in the army...:(

  • all we need to hear is her guns open up!!!!

engine sound is a huge turn on

  • thanks for not adding a soundtrack to this; you can't beat the sounds of these 2 classic fighters.

  • Very impressive. Good job. Thanks.

  • Fabulous. One of my all time favorite planes. Thanks for posting the video

    .

  • No engine beats the sound of piston aero engines (even when they're not Merlins haha)!

  • Nice video! Wish I was there for the airshow. Your video captures the smooth flying and the engine horsepower nicely!

  • Republic of China (Taiwan)!!!!!

  • 中華民國國徽耶~~!!!!!

  • @o33550110 太公令,王光复前輩的座機。

    王先近已於2008年仙逝。

  • @milvipes 王教官一共擊落敵機8.5架。

  • What is the sound of two low flying P40's ?

    STEREO !!

  • Great!! P-40 is one of my favorite planes from WWII. It was the over-all work horse fighter of the Army Air Corp and other allied forces. It didn't excel in too many areas, but it did a lot of things well and ususally brought our pilots back in one piece. Good job.

  • Twp P-40s are twice as cool!

  • Is this the Hawk with the 6 50cals?

In WW2 flying sim games, this plane always fucks my 109 up. haha

  • @mrceebees14 yes it is, i thinks its the p-40E, i dk about the flying tiger, but either its a C or a E, most likely an E, and the p-40 always ahd 6 .50 cals

if u use the IL2 1946, try going up with the bf-109, the benz engine was better at high altitudes, it was far more efficient than the allison, in fact the bf-109 was a faster than the p-40, so getting the p-40 out of your butt will depend on your speed and avoid getting into a scisor , the p-40 can fly slower than you so dont even try it

  • Wonderful! Absolutely wonderful!

Especially that gorgeous sound they make when passing by

  • that one vote, for not liking this video should be put in front of a wall and shot!

If it comes to piston engines, nothing beats the engines built around WW2

  • Great planes - great video!

  • Real beauties.

  • i want to see they shooting !!!!

  • Love the plane and the sound it makes :)

  • Truly awesome!! The one with the white tail is New Zealand SWPA 1943 and the other is Flying Tigers with Chinese markings later absorbed into the USAAF 14th AF

  • @chasyes1 Close! :-) The white tail P40 is actually in an RAAF (Australian) colour scheme. I'm not sure if any of the RNZAF P40s were still around in the SWP when the white tail identifier came into effect.

  • @HAFUVideo My Dad was in 76 Squadron Milne Bay 1942 and they had a white tail then

  • @Wawnie just got your post thankyou for the info I do appreciate it I am an aviation junkie!

  • @chasyes1 Depends on your definition of "Flying Tigers". That P-40 did not belong to the AVG/23rd FG, but to the 3rd FG, ROCAF, provisionally assigned to the command of Chinese-American Composite Wing, 14th AF.

  • purring like a kitten

  • Now THIS is how an aircraft should look and sound like!

  • Probably the hottest plane ever built.

    Built in Buffalo, NY

  • @igo4mako

All of these ww2 planes are great but the supermarine spitfire leads them all

  • @igo4mako

All of these ww2 planes are great but the supermarine spitfire leads them all ,just an honest view point from a Brit

  • @666bandit12

I don't think so. Nice try anyway.

  • sounds like Rolls-Royce Merlins...

  • dud it look`s like tomahaws

  • These aircrafts' engine sounds are second only to the Pratt and Whitney R-2800 :)

  • Their engines make a terrific sound!

  • NAMES WILD BILL KELSO AND I LOVE AMERICA!

  • I LOVE THIS ENGINE SOUND!!!!!!!!

  • when i win euromilions i will be buying a uh1 huey and a p40

  • I'd retrofit the machine guns to fire multicolored paintballs, and strafe some yuppie beach in LA.

  • Thumbs if you actually want to drive the p-40

  • @Davathu619 you mean "fly"

  • Comment removed

  • So beautiful!

  • Longshot593---totally agree. I'll take a P-51D over one of those needle-nose F-16 vacuum-cleaners any day! :-)

  • I swear those old prop planes have a grace and beauty that today's jet aircraft just can't match!

  • @Longshot593 a p40 warhawk with grace ha thats funny

  • Amazing. I love the red spinner!!

  • Wonderful video THANKS

  • Uh, that's not a radial.

  • nothing like that p40 radial engine sound

  • GREAT VIDEO!!! Nothing pisses me off more than to see one of these videos and they put music for the audio. The only music to our ears is the sound of a V-12 or radial engined fighter.

  • i wanna buy one

  • i love the flight path and how they look at 1:25

  • Aaaah, cool sound. This made me smile. Nice video. Beautiful aircraft, thanks for sharing.

  • P-40s are the true sloggers of WW2. One tough plane that always gave 110% to men who knew how to fly them.

  • I would do anything to have a Merlin powered P-40F that was better than the Allison powered models.

  • @warhawk40 From what I understand, they couldn't add a supercharger to the Allison engine?

  • @JaleelJohanson62 I think the later variants did but by that time the Mustang had already taken its place. some p40s had merlins. Way more horsepower!

  • I have loved these airplanes since I was a little boy. There is nothing like the sound of the Alisons and such a beautiful plane. I wished there were more restored to flying condition. Everyone should get a chance to see these in flight. :-)

  • WOW! Thanks!! That made my day- The movie guys never get it right.

  • Noticeably louder than a Merlin. As in, LOUD!!!

  • Love the video

  • what an awesome video

  • I WANT ONE SO BAD!!!

  • @356butch yes that was the origanal model. You had to prime the guns everytime you fired.

  • @AgentMorris94 The Bs and Cs (Known to the Commonwealth forces as Tomahawks Mk I and Mk II) also had the guns in the nose

  • 0:45 bombing :F

  • Granddad said his had two 50s in the nose and four 30s in the wings or was it the other way around? Must have been a different model. Great vid!

  • an airplane with history

    a fantastic engine noise

    fantastically filmed and spliced...

    warbirds-power.de say many thanks

  • I just want to send a sincere thank you to the poster of this viveo for not completely destroying it by putting music in it. Can not thank you enough..

  • MY GOD the sound is Wonderful !!!!

  • the sound is most beautiful to listen!

  • the only fast attack aircraft new zealand has ,

     sad to say

  • @grunt182820 Still to this day? LOL.

  • Hot rods of the sky!!

  • i love these planes to death my grand dad flew them in north africa in 1942 he said in some ways they were better than a mustang (which he later flew aswell) when and if i have enough money i'm gonna find one and race it @ the reno air races in Nirvada

  • Two evil lookin' killing machines! Why is it that on some P-40s the left wheel goes up first and on others the right wheel goes up first...hmm?

  • @groovy67 The gear is controlled by oil pressure. So its not difficult to see why they dont operate symmetrically.

  • Absolutely superb video and sound of these classic planes. First rate!

  • Boy I love the sound of these planes!!!

  • Sound? You mean MUSIC, don´t you? ;) For me, what do have sounds are jets (they all sound the same to me), but for me this is authentic music in an engine. XD WWII Warbirds forever!! (and yes, I really am a P-40 lover as well :)

  • i think i just jizzed a lil in my pants O.o I LOVE WW2 PLANES!

  • Airplane pron!

  • a p40 in flying tiger camo awesome!
