You know that feeling you get when you hear something you haven't heard and it immediately takes you back to your childhood and makes you smile and you get chills? Yeah this just happened.
I haven't watched this in YEARS. I don't even KNOW how many. :') But I went to Target a few days ago and saw it, and bought it kinda like half-heartedly but I remembered the part where he goes "Goodbye, Mom." And just watching it again made me really remember it. It felt so nostalgic. So thank you for posting this. :) I can't really explain it, but I MISSED this. So thank you again.
Haden't watched this movie for 8 years and I just watched it today, I'm so glad I did! I remember how wonderful it is! Now-a-days most movies are not as good. Thank you for posing this.
I loved this movie growing up simply because of how innocence triumphs in this world no matter how dark things get, good will triumph, but looking back I also loved this move because of James Cromwell's performance, in this movie he looks exactly like my grandfather did before he past away in 1992, although I never really knew him that well, this character will forever remind me of the man who used to spoon feed me molasses as a child.
I gotta admit hes a great dancer lol i bet thats what hes always wanted to be besides farming and raising animals. :) hes a pretty good singer too :D Babe is also a good singer. I've always liked that dog Rex, he didnt like Babe at first but im sure glad he changed. "The boss needs you Babe." :)
James Cromwell is my hero Thank you james for all that you do for these magnificent animals. You are a hero to them and to millions of peole across the world. Thank you!!
I remember when I was flying to Europe right after graduating from college. It was January, 1996. I saw the movie listed as 'Babe', and I thought, "I'm moving to Europe! Why do I get a kids movie?" Well, I watched it, and I absolutely adored it. It's a classic, and I love the cast.
I sang to my children and grandkids when they were babys... still do, they don't like it now though. My dogs and cats on the other hand love it when we sing and dance around. My family thinks I'm insane some times.
@goombamaria1 you're watching the wrong movies! check out the awards crop this year. incredible quality. (but i agree that we should bring back the classics!)
Stop being a retard. There have been films about sex since the beginning of time. Sex is a part of life. It's not something "bad". Also, there have been more family films you just haven't watched because you watch things like The Fast And The Furious. STFU.
@goombamario1 Yes, sex and drugs have only existed because of these new films. People never would have thought to write about such impure things in the good old days.
Come on, I love this movie but people have been saying shit like that since people have said anything at all.
@solgonsar "Deep in moonshine" its not that there wasnt drugs doggy, its that drugs werent even called drugs. Sex was called love. We just dirtied up the good stuff in life with stupid words. Trust me...its still ALLLLLLL good.
Woow, when i was a kid I find this movie interesting, but now, as 20-year-old guy I find it awesome, so deep and touching story :) I´m not ashamed to say it moves me a lot :)
The Sheep-Pig is a novel by British author Dick King-Smith. It was first published in 1983, retitled Babe The Gallant Pig in the U.S., and adapted for the screen as the 1995 film Babe. The book is set in rural England, where Dick King-Smith spent twenty years as a farmer.
He broke in2 a jig because he felt joy. The ending is related because the farmer;s face shows his love 4 the pig. He is dancing because he now knows that Babe is going to survive--HE IS not able to put his joy in2 words so he dances instead.
At this point the piog is a bit confused by the farmer's behaviour. At the end if the movie the look on Babe's face shows that he reciprocates the farmer;s love. He wants to please the stalwart man---much as our dogs want to please us.
I had just 6 when it came out. When i was 15, i started to feel that i needed english countryside. I studied about it, i went to internet see it, i read "All Things Great and Small" from James Herriot, (James Wight ), i saw the tv show adaptation, i had british english accent classes, etc. Last summer, with 20, i finally got the means, the time, and the freedom to go and see it by myself, in loco. A passion (some say obsession), created by a child movie...If life is unfair, tv is worse!
