I was there too, and as I walked up to Petco Park after eating dinner in the Gaslamp Quarter, I heard it announced on the air in open-air bars along the route and the streets went wild. So much jubilation. It was complete positive hysteria. It said a lot about the fact that a man of color could lead our nation. It was a proud moment for this white boy who grew up with a family who demanded equality for all. I voted.
