  • That "posey" is about as thick as a t-shirt. A real posey is thick heavy canvas that doesn't blow in the wind and doesn't look like it would tear if you pulled hard enough. Also, what is with the blind fold? Other than making you look like some BDSM freak on the street it does nothing for the act. I know you said it's so you cant see what your doing, but straight jackets have the straps in the back so you can't see what you're doing already. Lose the blind fold and buy a real posey.

  • You're such a fucking faggot

  • that is not a posey, 10 cent HACK!

  • I don't think you get it though. When you use the phrase Posey, you mean something. That's WHY you mention it by name. What you have is not a Posey. Yes, you can retrofit it however you want, but that does not make it Posey. Posey is used for Guiness attempts because it's got high quality construction, certain security features, and a history of use. Yours is a not a Posey, with none of the features, and you saying "it's just like it".

  • And "a part time professional magician and consulting detective, skeptic debunker" should know that just telling people to trust you means nothing. The fact that you admit you're making modifications to it, supposedly to make it MORE secure further undercuts any respect you may get as an escape artist. The authenticity of the restraint is what makes people believe it's difficult. Anything less than authentic, and people wonder what you've done to gaff it.

  • LOL what a pussy girl.... jesus christ, you're pulling a strap under his legs... you kidding me?

  • Is still NOT a posey jacket. The tell tale coloured collarband is missing, and straps not originals. Posey straps are firmly anchored over a large area, the strap that forms the front loop continues down the jacket and also forms the crotch strap for example, which, on a genuine Posey jacket is a SINGLE CROTCH STRAP and not the 2 crotch straps seen on this jacket.

As for the "plastic fasteners" on the straps, genuine posey jackets either had a metal friction buckle or roller buckles on older.

  • @dpmhat As I mentioned earlier, I currently have some of the self tightening metal friction buckles on order and I'll be replacing those. As for the dual crotch strap, it's supposed to make the jacket more secure to prevent me from slipping my leg out underneath the crotch strap. But on the point of the crotch strap and the coloured collarband, I will concede that this might not be a posey straitjacket though it is in the posey style of straitjacket.

  • erm don't mean to be rude but that's NOT a posey

  • @straitjacketgirlie Watch the video "Escape Artist Michael Griffin Tackles the Posey Straitjacket." He uses the exact type of jacket I use and mentions it's called a Posey. This is the old version of the Posey straitjacket before the loop over the arms was introduced about 4 decades ago. The older version just had two loops on the sides to prevent the arms from being pulled over the head. As for the other little difference, the plastic buckles and the canvas being a little weaker, I had to

  • @straitjacketgirlie (cont) buy this jacket at a BDSM store and do some retrofits to it. I'm still in the process of doing some heavy seam reinforcement and adding a loop over the front of the jacket to make it as close to the newest model of posey as possible. It will probably be ready in about another 2 to 3 weeks because I'm also expecting a shipment in of some metal self tightening buckles I can use to replace the plastic ones.

  • Guess they use different straitjackets in reality, right? Since every escape artist would be able to get out of one such as this? Still, good job ;)

  • @Anonymous247n The only real difference between this one and the one they use in mental institutions is that there is normally a strap over the arms on the chest (i.e. one extra loop of canvas) and most escape artists can even get out of that one, since the extra loop of fabric doesn't hinder the arms for the method I use which is actually the common method for escaping from a posey jacket. Check the world record attempt on youtube to see what I mean.

  • @Anonymous247n In reality, they don't use straightjackets. Restraints can only be applied for brief periods, on doctor's orders. Most institutions use, well, drugs first, and failing that, a variety of restraints (leath, poly, cloth... 5-point, hobbles, wrists only). Most people you'd think would need a straightjacket would be in such a state they wouldn't have the presence to take it off. Oh, yes, a real institutional SJ would be much harder. This guy needs to be in a real Posey like mine.

  • nice.

  • hey, can i try that on?

  • I like your fanny pack, where did you get it?

  • @Poopsicle1 It's a portable first aid kit and a binoculars case. I got one at a science store and the other one at the army navy surplus store.

  • @aikiboy1111111 cool, thanks.
